Yuffie was definitely thinking this over. The deal was rather tempting, she had to admit that. But, she didn’t need to live near civilization. She had done quite well camping in the Wutain woods with nothing but her Conformer. Ok, she didn’t have her Conformer, but she lived quite well. She knew what berries to eat and not eat. But… this was a different world. Different terrain and different….monsters. There was always that risk. Always. But, she had already given her answer. It couldn’t hurt. Just a test drive. And if she didn’t like it, well, there was always the window. Yuffie had used that trick time and time before. Mainly to escape home. Despite the fact it was ‘home’, it did not feel like home at all. No matter how much she tried to get accustomed to it, she would just not like the thought of staying there for such a long time. That’s why she always tried to find work. Whether it be the biggest heist, or just an errand for herself, she would take it. Was that so bad? She was eighteen years old, maybe she should- nah, this life was far too fun to give up anytime soon!
Now, she was only taking a guess, but Yuffie had the feeling that Maqui wasn’t very good with talking to some people. Ok, it was just a guess, but it seemed that he was finding it difficult. Still, the two of them were barely acquaintances, and it could’ve been difficult with anyone. Maqui should be glad he was with Yuffie instead of Chocobo-Cloud. Now THAT would be awkward, and yet funny for the observers. A.K.A Yuffie Kisaragi. Looking at the blond next to her, she breathed a sigh of relief. This was beginning to sound a lot better. Free food too? And a place to stay. A grin flashed on Yuffie’s face. She would definitely have to ‘get lost’ here often. ”Sounds pretty sweet. No strings attached, right?” She asked, crossing her arms and tilting her head to the left. ”I dunno how long I’ll be here. You guys have all this fancy equipment. Any portal trackers?” As much as she preferred this to her home back in Wutai, she couldn’t help but feel like there must’ve been some kind of catch. Eh, Yuffie couldn’t help it, she was trained to think of things like this. Ninja training and all that.
The ninja followed Maqui, looking at her surroundings while doing so. She was memorizing the paths around the Academy, in case it happened upon the chance she needed it. Could never been too careful, right? ”Few doors down, got it. Not that far, then.” Nodding to herself, Yuffie was making a few mental notes of everything. It was kind of different of her, but it was a new world, and she had grow up slightly since the Deepground incident and Meteor and the Remnants. She blinked at the keypad and tag. That seemed… useful. Maybe she’d have to swipe one later on. It wouldn’t be good if she got locked out on a daily basis. Walking through the now-open doors, she walked backwards, facing Maqui and looking around. ”Sure, but I expect a proper tour here.” She teased lightly. Then, Yuffie focused all her attention on the Academy. It seemed so… different to the Planet. It kind of resembled a part of the WRO, or maybe even ShinRa. So she hadn’t seen much of ShinRa, but she had an imagination, didn’t she? She could kind of see what the other parts would look like… But she hadn’t expected this. ”Hm, cool place.”
