What a wonderful idea it had been to go to the beach today, it wasn’t too hot and not too cold either, and the weather reports had said that it would be dry and sunny today, so they really couldn’t have picked a better day to come out here. After all the tests and homework and training, they all sure deserved to relax for a day, and thankfully mother and Kurasame had allowed them to go. It was a shame Arecia hadn’t come along, but Deuce understood that she was a very busy woman who couldn’t just leave the building on a whim, still, the youngest member of Class Zero would’ve liked to have her here. Maybe next time? With a quiet hum, Deuce rolled over onto her side and curled up on her beach towel. After having cold water dumped on her by Cinque (Who was being more hyperactive and childish today than usually) Deuce had opted to join some of the others out in the sun rather than staying under a parasol. That had been a right idea too, because after dozing off for a little while in the sun, she’d completely dried up again. Her eyes briefly fluttered open when she felt something touch her stomach, but upon realizing it was just Cinque who was invading her private space with her stretching, the younger girl closed her eyes again and allowed herself to doze off again. She vaguely heard Cinque and Queen discuss something before hearing Cinque jump to her feet and running to go tease someone else.
“Mhmmm…” Deuce hummed softly in agreement to Queen’s words, “If she doesn’t, we’ll just get her something to eat. Should keep her quiet for a while…” she trailed off a little and yawned. The warmth of the sun really did make one feel drowsy, but that was alright, they were here to relax after all.

But it seemed she wouldn’t be sleeping all day long, because a moment later, Queen shook her fully awake, “Huh…?” she mumbled as she sat up and moved her sunglasses out of her face to rub at her eyes, “Oh, right, the volleyball game,” a sheepish smile formed on her lips before she took Queen’s hand and with her friend’s help, she climbed to her feet as well, “I forgot all abou—“ Deuce’s eyes widened some when she spotted Cinque near Sice, and she took a few steps in that direction to tackle her away from the scythe wielder, but thankfully Cinque had the attention span of a goldfish, and before she even got too close, her mind was elsewhere again. “…about that,” She finished with a grin and a shake of her head at the redhead’s antics, and Trey’s desperate attempt at answering questions which Cinque barely even seemed to hear, “Poor Trey,” she giggled, ”You shouldn’t keep it as a pet Cinque, it’ll be really unhappy without his family,” Deuce chimed in after King had answered the girl’s question, and then she turned towards Nine, who had apparently just remembered about the game they were supposed to play as well. Even though she’d just woken up from a nap, Deuce was feeling pretty energetic, and she wanted to get this game started now that she actually remembered it. It should be a lot of fun to see what everyone could do with that volleyball, how each of them would work their own special style into the game. “Hey Nine, go easy on me okay?” she asked with her sweetest tone of voice and the biggest puppy eyes should could manage. Nine was a tough guy, but he also had a really sweet side that few people got to see outside of Class Zero. The tall blonde was always so nice to herself and Cinque as well. Even Aria he seemed protective over. He should show that side more often, but even if he didn’t, it wouldn’t matter much. Deuce loved her ‘big brother’ just the way he was, foulmouthed and all. She loved all of them, even Cinque, despite that little prank she pulled earlier today. It was their different personalities that made all of them so interesting. The young flautist nodded her head when Seven suggested Trey and King should be the team captains, because those two just seemed perfect for that position. Trey would probably try to show off again, and King had a competitive streak as well. It would be interesting to see which team would ultimately end up winning.

Though she might get shy around new people, she still makes an effort getting to know and befriend them, though obviously this doesn’t always work out. She’s hardworking and loyal, and would put her own interests aside for those she cares about if she thought it would benefit them in some way, especially fellow Class Zero members, who she considers to be not just her friends, but her family as well. She tends to tolerate a lot from people, too much sometimes even, but like everyone else, Deuce also has a breaking point, and once you reach that point, it might be a good idea to back off, because it’s said she turns extremely scary when genuinely upset. Deuce can get really stubborn, and once she sets her mind on something, she can’t easily be swayed to change her opinions. She’s sometimes too curious for her own good, which could easily lead to awkward situations that even puppy eyes can’t fix. Though she might seem like an innocent person, Deuce definitely has a mischievous side that most people aren’t aware of, and she’s well aware of her class’s duties in the war, even if she doesn’t like to admit it. She tries to be cheerful and makes an effort to cheer up others as well. History: Deuce is a member of Class Zero, a group of students from the Peristylium Suzak], the Magic Academy of the nation of Rubru], that fight the invasion of Rubrum by the Milites Empire. As part of the resistance operation "Operation Apostle", she and her comrades seek to become the Agito, a messiah prophesied in ancient mythology to appear at the time of Finis, an apocalyptic calamity. In the demo, Deuce and Queen were on a mission when they accidentally saw one of the Intelligence Team leaving Byakko. Deuce wondered why someone from them would be in Byakko, with Queen answering that they probably came with the director Khalia Chival VI and that it was nothing to worry about before moving on. After Andoria's death drives a furious Celesti] to attack Class Zero. Knowing Celestia wouldn't dare try and hurt her, Deuce places herself between [[Ace]] and the monster Celestia summons, bravely convincing her to stop her attack. Like the rest of her class, Deuce meets her end fighting Cid. In the alternate ending caused by Arecia's removing the crystals from Orience's history, Deuce survives as she and Cinque form a friendship with Queen.
