Introductory Plot: Bad Blood

Hai people!

I will cut to the chase. The idea for us to get the site's plot - that of the conflict between PSICOM and the Academy centered on their differing ways of handling the spread of the effects from Caius Ballad's Heart of Chaos - started is going to be starting up soon. It's nothing complicated, and every character on the site is welcome to be involved in some way if they so wish.

Basically, we're going to have the Academy holding a rather large "press conference," I suppose you could say, in Academia. A large portion of the people in the city who are concerned about recent events will be attending, meaning characters as well. As this happens, some of their agents will be doing their best to keep PSICOM from being able to interfere with the press conference in any way. During this, an agent - one of Taiya's characters, to make this simple - will be exposed as working for the Academy within PSICOM ranks. Thus, though both sides want to keep their actions against the other as secretive as possible, an incident will flare up. From there, what happens is up to the characters involved. Your characters can help save people. They can help one side or the other. They can try to ruin both sides. Whatever you desire to do within the confines of this plot is up for grabs.

As you sign up your characters, we'll be getting more concrete ideas for the threads going (we'll not be putting this all in one thread, but in maybe three to four separate threads happening in the same place depending on how many people sign up). Do not sign up unless you can be expected to post within a week of your turn coming up in a thread. If you can't post, you'll be skipped by the next person in the thread's order.

I'm sure there will be questions, so post them here! Also, sign up your characters! If you want to be in a thread specifically with someone else, just sign them up too (assuming they've agreed).

This leaves only the business of who's starting the threads. It's probably best that one of us three staffers start Thread A, since what the three of us are doing in that part of the thread will trigger the action in the other threads. I can more than likely start threads B or D. We'll need two more volunteers for the other two threads, though. Don't be intimidated by the prospect of starting one - all you basically need to know is that the scene will be a simple, expansive city block with a stage and a podium, and a large area for people to stand and listen from in front, behind, from the sides, etc. Academy personnel will be visible, but PSICOM people will be civilian clothing, concealing weapons, and acting mildly suspiciously until the event in Thread A happens and they all "go loud" and cause an incident, so to speak. Basically it would just start with the character hearing the beginning of Hope's speech (which I'll put in whatever thread I start) and being in the same area or even interacting with the others in the thread.

Not too complicated, right? So two volunteers?
