ACE HEY THERE, THEY CALL ME ACE AND I'M CURRENTLY SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD. I'M FROM THE WORLD OF ORIENS WHERE I AM A MAGIC STUDENT. I GO FOR GIRLS AND I WILL THROW MY WEIGHT BEHIND THE ACADEMY. ------------------------------------------------- Weapon: Final Trump: A never-ending deck of magical cards that he summons at will out of thin air, which he manipulates telepathically and with deadly accuracy, inflicting magic-damage upon enemies hit.
Abilities: Open Deck: Ace randomly draws four cards from his deck, throwing them upwards into the air, the cards hovering above him. An effect occurs depending on the number of cards sharing the same color. Each color has a different effect:
White Cards: Blank cards used to perform a feint attack that though does not damage the target, it inflicts STOP for a few seconds. Red Cards: Used for offensive attacks. Blue Cards: Used to restore life. Yellow Cards: Used to restore mana.
He can choose which cards are activated, though the more cards sharing the color, the stronger the spell. He can use it on himself whenever he wants, for another there’s the need for two cards at least, to affect three people he needs three cards and finally four, as you can see following the logic, are required for four people.
Attack Deck: Ace restricts the deck to two colors, red and white, drawing them as he would normally. The more red cards used, the stronger the spell. The red ones conjure an explosion upon impact while the white ones fire their magical energy at the target. Life Deck: Ace restricts the deck to two colors, blue and white. The strength and number of people affected by this is proportional to the number of blue cards drawn. They will conjure a white seal that heals the target or targets. Support Deck: Ace restricts the deck to two colors, sharing the blue and white preference, though this time, he will focus on the use of white cards to summon a barrier that persists upon the target for a bit, nullifying damage done to them or him. The duration depends on the number of white cards used. Spirit Deck: |
[/b] Ace restricts yet again the deck to two colors, yellow and white. As one would correctly assume, the strength of this is ruled by the number of yellow cards he drew. A similar seal appears, though this one restores the target’s mana instead of life.
Trap Card: Ace will infuse a white card with energy and place them upon the floor. It will remain hovering, surrounded by other cards until triggered or approach, the cards circling the main one will extend their reach, damaging all that they touch with the expansion.
Cannon Laser: Cards are summoned in front of ace, only to be infused with energy, creating a narrow beam of light that maintains its direction, thus cannot be changed until it consumes itself. Costs a considerable amount of mana so cannot be abused. He may summon two additional beams that extend to the side, but this uses the same mana as it would for three of them and like the first one, their direction cannot be changed.
Teleport Card: Ace throws a single white card that phases through solid matter. When the boy desires, he may teleport to the card, arriving with a burst of them that damage close targets.
Shadow Step: Ace disappears momentarily, becoming untargetable and leaving behind a few cards, just before appearing a few feet in any direction. This can be considered somewhat of a short-ranged dash really.
Fire, Ice and Thunder Magic: Ace has the ability to cast magic of those three elements in five different way. The strength of the spell depends on the charging time; the more he charged it, the stronger the spell. The different ways are as follows:
Shotgun (SHG): This type spreads the spell. It doesn't travel far, but is powerful up-close.
Rifle (RF): This type shoots out straight in the direction of the target. It travels far but has a narrow range.
Bomb (BOM): This type is effective in close to medium range.
Missile (MIS): This type homes in on the enemy before releasing its magic.
Rocket Launcher (ROK): When this type hits, it will explode and damage enemies in the surroundings
Summon: - Ace can summon his eidolon Diablos if he's in need of a little extra firepower.
Personality:An upright and calm young man, Ace is among the more mature members of his class and isn’t one to fall before the temptation of immaturity, despite his age. He is mostly quite serious when discussing facts and isn’t one to take things lightly or even joke about a matter, maintaining his air of sophistication and maturity, which are complimented by the fact that he flourishes his words as best as he can, making his speech quite stunning for a boy his age and he managed to impress quite a few people with it. But this isn’t the only trait that makes Ace who he is and the most prominent personality trait of his probably is the utter devotion he give his friends, putting them above and beyond himself and others and he will do anything and everything possible to make sure they are well, even if it means sacrificing himself to accomplish that.
As such he is known among his peers to keep many things to himself, so as not to worry them and even if what he holds to himself starts eating him from the inside out, he won’t bother his friends with it.
Arguing is something that human beings do, after all, different people means that there are different opinions that sometimes crash among them, which often results in people arguing. This, when happens among Ace’s peers, aggravates him and he will be the first one to stand in the line between them and try to ensure that the argument doesn’t turn into a full-fledged fight among them. Why? Because with the storm rising they cannot afford to bicker among themselves and they need to work together at 110%. He is a firm believer in “Together we stand; divided we fall” and will do whatever it takes to make sure everyone will be together, after all, he doesn’t know how much time they have left together.
Though he does have quite a flaw in his personality, one that could be his undoing and most certainly will prove to be a great weakness of his in due time. His devotion to his friends, which he does consider as family no matter what they do or say to him, he can reveal himself to be quite reckless when there are matters that concern him and will not think twice about charging head-on into battle to rescue a friend. It requires a lot of persuasion to stop him from saving a friend from harms way and only a handful of people can easily make him see that it is of no use. Also, he can be quite cold at times, brutally honest and seemingly having no regard for another’s feelings.
History: Son to a wealthy couple, the boy known as Ace by his peers at the Academy had a troubled childhood, his parents dying in a terrible accident when he was very young and so was raised by his grandmother. She raised him to be a humble and kind gentleman, giving him the education that would allow him to become someone when he grew up and thus as a product of a strict education, the boy became an upstanding young man with grades that could get him anywhere he wanted. And he had already a place in mind where he would be able to nurture his intellect and acquire more knowledge about magic, something he had always found quite fascinating. The boy enrolled in the Rubrum's Magic Academy, Peristylium Suzaku, where he showed great promise, which in turn granted him an invitation to join a special class, one that only a selected few and the best among the best would be invited to join.
Oriens is divided into four nations known as the Suzaku Fiefdom of Rubrum, the Milites Empire, the Lorica Alliance, and the Kingdom of Concordia. Each of the nations is blessed with a crystal that grants them unique powers: Rubrum controls the Suzaku Crystal containing the power of Magic, Milites controls the Byakko Crystal containing the power of Weapons, Lorica controls the Genbu Crystal containing the power of the Shield, and Concordia controls the Sōryū Crystal containing the power of the Dragon.
The four nations coexisted peacefully under the Pax Codex until Cid Aulstyne, High Commander of the Milites Empire, broke the peace treaty and staged an invasion using advanced military technology developed with the power of the Byakko Crystal. With his armada of airships and magitek armor, Cid easily conquered Lorica and Concordia, then moved on to Rubrum where he faced a strong resistance due the nation's magical defenses. Hoping to force the nation's leaders to surrender, Cid staged an attack on Rubrum's Magic Academy, Peristylium Suzaku. A small group of extremely skilled students belonging to the Peristylium's Class Zero have managed to retain the powers from their pact with the Suzaku Crystal. While Cid attempts to negotiate with Rubrum's president, the students of Class Zero are busy organizing Operation Apostle, a covert mission to recapture the crystal and defeat the Milites forces.
