This site is set directly after the events of Final Fantasy XIII-2. After Caius was defeated by Noel Kreiss and Serah Farron, Serah collapsed and chaos spread through Gran Pulse. Now though, unfortunately, the chaos didn't just stop at Gran Pulse, but spread to the other Final Fantasy worlds as well. The result? People were pulled from each and every world onto Gran Pulse while the worlds themselves were destroyed. The inhabitants of these other worlds now take refuge on the wild lands of Pulse.

Meanwhile, on Gran Pulse, the Fal'cie have risen once again from their more or less dormant state to try and balance the chaos. They do this by once again ravenously making l'cie to complete focuses and fight back the chaos. To those that have become l'cie, you have a hard road in front of you, but you still hold the key to your destiny. Will you fight your focus or complete it?

There's bigger problems than just the Fal'cie however. A faction of PSICOM has broken off from the Academy. This group blames the events of chaos and the problems with the citizens of other worlds on the advances and inventions in technology that the Academy has made. PSICOM instead has taken a more violent measure to try and fight back this newest disaster. Partially they also blame the Fal'cie, and to try and maintain balance, they fight the Fal'cie and their 'creations.' In less than a month a civil war between the Academy and PSICOM is fully underway.
