Yeul lowered her hand holding the flower and looked into the distance. The glow of the water glittered as she took in the scenery. A place that was based around calmness and fun, somewhere nice to settle and live. From what she had observed, monsters stayed away from the settled home. Without another thought about New Bodhum, her vision came back to her mind and let her smile fall back to an emotionless stare. She had seen Caius inflicting terror and destruction, Yeul kept her expression in a calm unaltered state. Her vision remained in her mind for a moment, as much as she did not like what she saw she would not lift a finger to try and change it. The timeline should not be changed and everything will fall into place. As they should. Once more, Yeul would not voice her opinion of Caius's decision out loud. Noel and Serah knew what kind of future she wanted to see, to Yeul that was more than enough. For a brief moment her age came back to her. Fourteen, only a short period of time until her final vison would come and fuel Caius's burning goal. As many other Yeuls before her she felt herself not ready for fifteen. Fifteen meant the end until the next ressurection. Maybe I will see happy faces in my final vision. No war or destruction. That would be, Yeul trailed off for a moment and kept her thoughts silent for a moment, nice. I wonder when I'll see you again, Caius.[/ul]

Another quiet day had come and gone here in Pulse. As usual it was yet another warm sunny day in New Bodhum. Birds chirped quietly as the flew overhead..well, until something bigger came and swallowed them anyway. But such is life here on the rather beautiful yet dangerous planet known as Gran Pulse. It was kill or be killed, a constant fight for survival against the fiends that roamed the land. Some were smaller and not much of a threat, while some...like the Behemoth or Adamantoise were quite large and could kill someone easily.
Yet to Caius, this world was home. Technology may have improved and ways of life changed...yet one thing always remained. The basic need to survive and the constant fight to do so. Yet despite all that, Pulse remained quite beautiful..well would remain that way until 700 or so years from now when Cocoon would have fallen were it not for the work of Hope Estheim and the Academy in Academia. Now the future was quite uncertain for most, although Caius had plans for that future and it's people.
Slowly he made his way towards the cliff...not sure why. An all too familiar feeling crept over him, eating away at his core as if he knew what it meant. That feeling tugged at his very being with each step he took, pulled with every breath he took. Slowly an all too familiar instinct began to appear, the need to protect...a sense of duty. This could only mean one thing. As he edged closer to the cliff, his eyes widened as a small gasp of surprise escaped his lips. Yet his steps did not stop. No they continued until they reached the young girl, a small grin forming on his lips as he watched her twirl that flower for just a moment.
"Come Yeul, you can admire the view a little further away from the edge of the cliff."

Yeul spoke and turned slowly to face her guardian. Yeul blinked and took in his appearance, he was Caius with no doubts. This was the man she had seen in her vision. All fear she had when she felt him die went away. As Yeul took steady steps toward Caius, her headdress pulled the veil away and her hair fell past her shoulders. She strides stopped when she was in front of the Purple Haired Guardian and a small smile formed on her face once more, feeling that spark once more she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Yeul closed her eyes and held the hug for a moment. After pulling back, Yeul put her two hands by each side. I don't want to die soon. The first words that came into her mind and words she dared not speak aloud. He would know when that time came and she had no wish to fuel his rage. The small smile formed back to her usual expressionless stare. Memories of the time with Noel and Caius came flooding back to her. The memories of Yeul made her miss Noel in some way. An old timeless thought arose, the thought of having a full life and settling back into one place. A selfish desire that Yeul tried not to linger on. She had accepted a long while ago what the fate of the Seeress meant. Yeul turned back around and held the flower up while twirling it once more. "Many things have changed. Hope Estheim's Academy has grown and the Cocoon's force PSICOM has come back." Yeul spoke in a calm manner.[/ul] OOC: A little short, sorry D8

A rare smile formed upon Caius's face as Yeul embraced him. Gently his own arm moved to wrap around her shoulders, holding her there until she wished to pull away. Like her other incarnations, he would do whatever it took to ensure her safety, as well as to keep her happy. Anyone who dared try to harm her or even dared to get in his way when it came to trying to give her the life she very much deserved after countless incarnations of a repeated life and death cycle would be struck down by his blade. He'd proven it in the past against Noel, Serah, and Lightning, and he would continue to do so.
"I am happy to see you as well Yeul." he said calmly, allowing her the chance to speak more before continuing. That smile soon turned into a frown at the mention of her visions, worry filling his gaze as she mentioned he was in them yet she didn't know why. "Worry not about what you may have seen in your visions Yeul. I'm here and I'm here to stay." Gently he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, enjoying having yet another Yeul around, though he also began to wonder just how long this one had before the visions struck again.
Yeul's mention of how things were different caused him to nod in agreement. "Indeed Pulse is a much different place than it was before. There are people dressed in clothing I do not recognize, and even at least one with multi colored eyes." Naturally he didn't mention Yuna's name, as that was still a work in progress and one secret he must keep from the Seeress for however long he could or until her visions revealed otherwise. The mention of the return of PSICOM however, caused him to smirk. "Mere fools who simply react against what they don't understand. They fear magic and those that are different from them or even slightly more powerful. That Academy you speak of has been flourishing for some time now. Though it's backbone lies in the Paradox of Hope being in timelines he shouldn't."

Yeul stopped twirling the flower and eyed the petals. Spinning to paint a picture, the painting was no more and it was no more than a flower. "Mm." Yeul nodded to accept Caius's words about her visions. She would take his word on the fact that he was there to stay. The pain of watching her die endlessly was painful, something she hoped she wouldn't have to go through. Caius's hand brought comfort and security, but she remained unmoved by his touch. Even though his touch brought her a calmness, she rarely showed it. Her gratitude was known and how much she appreciated what he did. At least she hoped it was known. To have Caius back made Yeul feel secure about her location. Adjusting to a change like that was not something she wanted to do. For awhile she wondered if she would gain another guardian or if she would remain alone. If forced to, Yeul would rather live somewhere away from the fight. The desire to aid the Academy was not there and aiding PSICOM would not happen. Those thoughts were out of the question though. That scenario would not happen, she was hoping it wouldn't. "Many people are becoming L'Cie once more. Fal'Cie are back and claiming more lives. Even people who are not from here." The people who were not from Pulse, or Cocoon, being branded made Yeul feel for them in a small way. They were being forced to engage in matters that did not concern them. Pulse may meet the same fate Cocoon had. This was not a happy thought in the least bit. Where else was there to go, Pulse was Cocoon's "back up", the place to go to if all fails. This war needs to end.[/ul]

A small smile was offered Yeul's way as she commented on how the Chaos had spread yet for some reason he was back. Naturally there would be no real reason for him to be back..or would there be normally if he had died. Perhaps the chaos that had spread had enabled him to stay alive as well despite Etro likely dying? If he was alive and well, did that mean that this Yeul couldn't die? Several questions began pouring in his mind all at once, flooding every crevice it could find. Yet those would need to go unanswered for now, as there were more important matters to attend to.
"I am back for one reason Yeul. The duty of a guardian is to protect his Seeress at all costs, even if it means returning from the dead to do so." He had sworn to defend her long ago when becoming a guardian, and would continue to do so until another guardian was chosen..if one were to be so lucky. A small nod was given as she spoke of the outsiders being drawn in to the fight the Fal'Cie wanted, however no sympathy whatsoever was seen anywhere on his expression. In fact, his face remained rather neutral as he patiently waited for her to finish.
"Tis the risk of coming to a new home Yeul. Once one settles into a new place, they are not exempt from the laws of the land. If the Fal'Cie determine they are suitable for L'Cie needs for whatever their means be, they are chosen. It is harsh, yet it is the world we live in." He knew she detested violence, knew she hated others getting dragged into fights that didn't concern them. Even he knew it was odd for the Fal'Cie to appear on Pulse instead of remain on Cocoon, yet he didn't dare question it. "History has chosen to intertwine with fate and allow this to happen. Should we intervene with Fal'Cie matters, we would create nothing more than yet more Paradoxes that would alter the timeline. It isn't something we should concern ourselves with."

he asked approaching the cliff edge, seeing two figures standing there as he wondered what was going on. Getting closer, he realized they were real, seeing a man with purplish hair and a woman with blue hair, a headdress adorning her. He wondered if this was real, scratching his head as he realized that it seemed like he was intruding. Stopping in his tracks, he'd start to backtrack a little with a bow. "Oh sorry for interrupting." he said smiling nervously bowing before turning around. A stream of sweat dropped down as his heart beat faster, the man looking a bit strange. To Matt, the man screamed out fear to him, he just had this certain aura to him.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

As much as Yeul wanted to know why, she decided to keep her mouth shut tight from the subject. Her devoted guardian was back and it should be all that mattered for her feelings. Only fear of Caius being back was a paradox. Every paradox must be fixed to correct the timeline and that meant Caius's death was supposed to remain permanent. This paradox theory worried and scared Yeul a little, but her face remained expressionless as it always did. Couldn't have Caius worried about what was on her mind, he had enough worries. Caius spoke the truth about people being turned into L'Cie, even when being on Pulse is done so unwillingly. Life does have a cruel circle fate. Accepting fate was the first step to this circle, what else was there to do? Interfering with Fal'Cie often meant the fate of a L'Cie as well. Yeul had no wish to become a L'Cie and had no want to even risk going near a Fal'Cie. She had accepted her fate as the seeress long ago and that fate was enough. "Then the paradoxes will continue to grow." The reunion of the two was cut when a man's voice was made clear and loud. Yeul lowered the flower in her hand back to her waist and turned around to face the source of the voice. "Who are you?" Yeul said while keeping a cool expression. Not quite inviting but not uninviting, more in acknowledging his sudden appearance. When he apologized for interrupting, Yeul simply nodded. "Mm."[/ul]

Theme for this post: The Sanctuary-Darling ViolettaThe worry in Yeul's eyes regarding the safety of others was easily visible to Caius. It was alright to wish that nothing would happen to people, especially innocents unknown to Pulse. However it relieved him so that she simply understood that the way things worked here were just that, the way they worked. If the Fal'Cie decided someone knew to the land was to be a L'Cie, then it was going to happen and no Goddess was going to interfere with that. After all, he had forced Noel into ensuring that Etro would fall. But had she truly? It was still something the guardian pondered. The next words that she spoke caused Caius's eyes to widen. Did she want the Paradoxes to grow? Or did he simply misunderstand her? "Yeul, Paradoxes are not something to take lightly. The very essence of time itself could be rewritten by them. Buildings and creatures could appear in times they were not meant to. Nature could overtake when mankind was supposed to evolve. The risk of paradoxes are too great. You yourself could cease to exist if such a thing were to happen." He could go on and on and on about the dangers of Paradoxes...however there were just far too many to list and they were simply not worth the effort it would take. A strange voice caught his attention, followed by Yeul addressing said person. Instinct took over in that moment as adrenaline filled every fiber of the Immortal Guardian's being. His right arm shot up behind him, grasping the bone-like hilt of his sword and with a slight tug drew it. In one fluid motion, Caius then lunged forward, landing with sword arm extended perfectly in front of Matt so that the very tip of the blade would be pressed up against his neck should he have not moved prior. "What business do you have here worm?" he asked with a sneer, that violet gaze would linger upon the stranger then, almost as if they were staring straight into his soul.

he said staring into the eyes of the man who was currently threatening his life. Much different than the woman it seemed, since she didn't seem to put a sword to his neck. Backing up towards the woman, since he was turned around, he kept eye contact to make sure he wasn't going to do anything. A few steps back, he stopped in a defensive position. Hopefully he'd still be alive by the end of the confrontation.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]
