thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie sat up confused. This didn't seem like Gaia anymore. At least not part of it she had ever seen before. The ninja stood quickly, glancing around the area. She wasn't sure how she got here but she was sure as hell going to make whoever it was pay. She shoved her hands in her pockets, her materia was gone. She frowned, well not exactly hers, but it had been on her person last she remembered. This only proved to heighten her anger. While she was generally upbeat and cunning, though some might argue childish, an angry Yuffie was a scary Yuffie.
She wandered a bit, only taking a few minutes to confirm that she definitely wasn't in Gaia any longer. The place seemed to foreign, and it gave her an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of her stomach. She wandered a while longer, spotting a glint of metal she could not ignore. First and foremost she was the Great Ninja Yuffie Kisaragi, a great theif. Shiny metal meant valuable pr dangerous, occasionally both. Which attracted her curiosity instantly. She squealed in excitement when she recognized the bit if metal as her Conformer. She wondered, briefly, how it managed to land so far from where she woke up. She began walking, and walking, and walking. She was trying to find a settlement, or at the very least a fresh water source. Water usually led to people. That was basic survival. Not to mention it was important to her continued survival. She wandered somewhat aimlessly for a quarter hour before an idea sparked in her head. She rummaged through her pockets until she found the thing she was looking for. Her phone. She punched in a few numbers, Tifa's numbers to be specific. When she brought the phone up to her ear there was nothing. No sound that signified it was going through, or even one that told her that she couldn't get the call through. Just dead, somewhat static silence. She groaned, it was worth a try. She shoved the thing into her pocket and continued on.
For hours she walked. As each minute went by it was seeming more and more hopeless. "This is great, just great. I'm going to die out in the middle of nowhere." [/color]she groaned. This was not part of her plan. She never planned on dying like this. She planned in dying when she was old and wrinkly and icky. And most likely last, seeing as her friends were mostly older than her. Save for Marlene and Denzel. Or die noble in battle alongside her friends. Not like this, not in the middle of nowhere where no o e would find her body. She knew the feeling of not knowing where her friends were, if they were safe, and if she'd ever see them again. It was almost worse than hearing news of their deaths. She may seem like an airhead, but she didn't want them to go through that. Not because of her. Anger at her thoughts washes over her. "Stop thinking like that. You're The Great Ninja Yuffie! You can survive this." [/color]She told herself. She pressed on. She was going to get to see them again. All of her friends. If she didn't, if she died, she wasn't going to be remembered as a coward, as someone who gave up. [/div][/div] TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY [/center]

Doomtrain was her first conscious thought and that was the most confusing part. Where was Siren? Carbuncle? Tonberry? Yeah, all four of them did weigh her down, but it was a tolerable level. Siren didn't very much but she did make things a bit harder to understand. Carbuncle made her head feel furry all the time. Tonberry was the pokey one and it often felt like it was prodding her brain with his Chef's Knife. Doomtrain got repetitive fairly quickly but the sound of traintracks being pounded was fairly soothing.
A faint roar sounded in the back of her mind as her partner relished the extra space. Slowly, the din of the traintracks grew louder and Doomtrain spread himself further out, almost purring at the extra room.
With a groan, Selphie rolled herself over and mumbled a headache-ridden greeting to the grass.
Wait.
Grass?
Last she remembered, everyone was on the Garden and they were on their way to Esthar, something about Laguna... Sir Laguna! What? What happened? She simply couldn't remember.
With a grumpy groan, she crawled into a sitting position and rubbed her neck. Dear Hyne she hurt all over. She could immediately tell it was going to be a poopie day. Her back and neck had that stiffness that she knew no amount of massage could get out - it was simply one that would have to be worked out through the day.
"Well, Tracks, we're not on the Garden anymore..." That much was definitely obvious as she looked around. Faintly, she heard running water and made a noise as she realized just how sticky she felt. Blech. That wasn't a fun feeling. The plants in the area were utterly foreign. Even that bug that was scurrying away looked bizarre. "Where the hell did we end up?"
Carefully, she picked herself up and, after dusting herself off, began wandering. "Where do you think we are, Tracks?" There wasn't anyone else around to talk to and she didn't know what else to do. "Do you know what happened to the other GFs?" Like usual, Doomtrain didn't respond, only a content purring-like sound rippled through her mind. However, at her second question, she felt mild confusion, but no words came of it. The Guardian rarely spoke in words - it was mostly emotions just like that. And his confusion was no consolation to her. If he didn't know what happened to her other partners, just where the hell did she end up? | [atrb=style,border-top: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-bottom: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-right: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; width: 20px;] | | [atrb=style,border-bottom: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-right: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-left: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; height: 20px;] | | [cs=3] |

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie was tired. That was all there was to it. She needed to find a safe place to bunker down for the night. Or at least a tree to shut her eyes in. She looked through the terrain, and nothing seemed to be jumping out at her. She groaned. Nothing. There did, however, seem to be a person in the distance. She frowned. Maybe they knew better than her where she was. She hoped whoever it was wasn't a psychopath or something as she approached them. At least she had Conformer. Whoever it was she was sure she could hold her own against them if it came down to it. She just preferred that it not come down to it.
She slowed her pace as she approached what appeared to be a girl. That made it even more likely that she could take her in a fight, not that women couldn't be tough. She knew she was personally and Tifa could kick some serious butt, but she also knew that her job description was a male dominated field. Heroes and villains came in all shapes and sizes, but most of them were male. She smiled as she approached the girl. "Hi I'm Yuffie Kisaragi! I kind of just...woke up somewhere over yonder....you wouldn't happen to know where we are would you?" [/color]She asked. She would assume this girl would know. She could be the person who brought her here, though from the looks of the girl she couldn't have managed to sneak up on her. Not many people could. In fact, only one person sprung to mind when she thought of it. Vincent could most probably. Other than that she couldn't think of anyone else. At least no one that could on a regular basis. Her name. She gave it freely and it held meaning. She was a Princess in Wutai, and a hero. If she was still on Gaia, somewhere that she had not been to previously, she was sure that they would recognize the name. A simple test to confirm her fears. She really doubted this was Gaia. The fact that her phone didn't work tipped her off to that. She worried. If she was brought here, were her friends? Did they knew she was missing? Would she even be able to get back to her world if this was not, in fact, Gaia. There were too many questions swirling around in her mind and they were really bringing her down. She would be furious with any one of her friends that just up and disappeared on her, [/div][/div] TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY [/center]

Oh this was just perfect. She was in an area even stranger than the Centra Ruins - and those at least she at least had some idea of the critters that dwelled there. Who knew what roamed this place? "Well Tracks, if you see anything, let me know?" She heard nothing but the sound of train tracks clacking. Well, maybe he would help her. As she wandered, she stopped to inspect a plant - it seemed to be... glowing. That itself was rather odd, but not unheard of as there were excited reports of Esthar starting to experiment on such things, they were hoping in the next couple of years to have plants growing successfully that glowed. This particular specimen might have been a trick of the light as it was still rather bright out, however. Selphie's thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of someone approaching and she immediately tensed, jumping at the sound. Turning, she saw another young girl and didn't relax - her mind immediately flicked to a trick of Ultimecia's, the experience still raw in her mind. It seemed to be something that she would have stored for them in the event she was beaten - being dragged to some unknown place and then a cheery person come to try to woo her into a sense of security then BAM! pounce! Selphie heard the words the other girl spoke, but didn't really understand them, it sounded like a rather different dialect. It was the same language alright, but a bit difficult to understand. She figured out the name but the rest was a bit difficult to get since she was speaking rather fast - she was obviously excited. Eyeing the other female - Yuffy Kisarwatchit - warily, Selphie prepared Strange Vision, slipping the massive pair of nunchaku out from nowhere to hide behind her. Knowing that there seemed to be a dialect between the two, she spoke a bit slower, "I'm Selphie. I'm, uh, I've got no idea where we are. I just woke up a bit ago myself." She felt it far safer to say nothing of Doomtrain to this stranger, to try and keep an upper hand for when it came down to it. This could so easily be a trap... creeped across her mind, still untrusting of the fast-talking girl across from her. The situation was too weird to be trusting - waking up in Hyne-knows-where with another girl just so conveniently experiencing the same thing. {O|O|C}Yeah, decided to go a paranoid route. I hope for friends though ♥ I also figured that Conformer has it's own katana space like how Selphie has her nunchucks, so...{/O|O|C} | [atrb=style,border-top: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-bottom: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-right: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; width: 20px;] | | [atrb=style,border-bottom: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-right: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; border-left: 1.5px #f2bc1c dashed; height: 20px;] | | [cs=3] |

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie immediately jumped back. Conformer out and in her hands as soon as the women pulled a weapon out. So maybe it wasn't her best idea to just run up to the girl, but she hadn't expected her to be armed! However, she did like that she still had the advantage. Conformer gave her range that the other woman's weapon lacked. She found that her ranged attacks gave her the upper hand in most situations. Of course, there was the exception of someone like Vincent who's guns were much faster than the speed of her conformer. However for now she was safe. "Geeze lady no need to get the weapons out! I'm not here to attack!" She exclaimed, though still holding her own weapon warily, in a defensive stance.
Upon hearing the girl's seemingly broken words Yuffie realized the mistake. Being bilingual herself, she understood that the language barrier could often throw people off. Especially if those people were say, running up to you in the middle of nowhere, when they were scared and confused. Most people of her land had to be bilingual these days. Being turned into a tourist trap meant that they needed to communicate easily with the people who visited. In fact she was sure most of the commoners no longer used their native tongue in normal conversation. Being the Princess meant she was brought up on the language, and taught the other as a secondary. It had made meeting strangers on the streets rather terrifying if they weren't from her own country.
"I um.. Sorry. I was not thinking." She told her, slowly in hopes that they could overcome the slight dialect issue. At least she wouldn't need to learn a whole new language. Duh Yuffie. Different worlds meant different languages. She should have expected it, and not just expected everyone would understand what the hell she was saying. She smacked herself on the forehead for good measure.
"I did not mean to startle you. I sometimes get a little carried away. I guess we could find out where we are together then huh?" She asked, offering the girl a smile. This woman seemed to be a little bit jumpy. It wasn't particularly reassuring to her but she would make due. It was better than wandering the expanse of wherever the heck they were alone. It always helped to have allies that would watch your back.

She kept her tone regardless, weapon where it was, but still remained ready and tense just in case the other female came at her or there was reason to shift to offense.
As Selphie spoke, green eyes still suspicious, the confusion was almost immediately cleared up and embarrassment seemed to show on her companion's face - apparently her own words appeared just as broken. The SeeD wasn't sold on the facade however, this teenager could still be working for the enemy. Even if... she acted a bit like Biggs and Wedge. That pair were always entertaining but ultimately annoying when it came down to it, always showing up in unlikely places. Thinking about them, Selphie couldn't help but wonder what they were doing despite how they acted. They were endearing in their own way, what with Biggs and his brash thinking and Wedge's attempts to be the clear-thinker.
The flippy-haired brunette was brought back to the future with a bit of sadness in her heart as Yuffy started talking again. It was still difficult to understand but with her speaking slower it by far helped with understanding. Something about... an apology? Being... carried away. And an attempt to work together from the sounds of it. The smile seemed nervous, but genuine. She was probably still a spy for Ultimecia though. Or some hallucination. Spy seemed most likely.
Not willing to break the charade, not wanting to give away that she knew just what was going on so soon, Selphie smiled back and nodded. Soon, her nunchaku were missing and a hand was extended to the odd-clothed girl in what was the common gesture of peace, showing there was no weapon. She knew she had to play kind, be watchful and wary, until the spy showed her true colors. ... If she was really a girl, that was. Quistis had searched the city she was in, the name of which she learned was Academia, up and down and there was no sign of any of her friends. Learning the name of that city had also confirmed in her mind that she was indeed on a different world, as there was no city by that name in her world. The run in with Seifer had been interesting and it was nice that she had a second pair of eyes to help her in finding Squall and the others even though she knew he would not enjoy helping her do so.
In any case since her search of Academia turned up empty she figured that she would start looking elsewhere and it seemed that that “elsewhere” would be the wilderness outside of the city. Yes it would seem that cities and towns were few and far between on this world with vast expanses of forests, mountains, and canyons covering the rest of the world.
It seemed that she had found herself in a type of wetlands type area as there were numerous small ponds and lakes all around that seemed to be within a canyon. Quistis was getting a bit thirsty but she wasn’t sure that the water around here was safe enough to drink. She could just cast water to get a drink but she really didn’t have anything to hold the water in. [orange]”Oh well, I’m not that thirsty.”[/orange] After a while more of walking Quistis spotted two figures further up the path. As she got closer she could make out more details of the two people. They were both women it seemed. One was wearing white shorts and a black top. She wore her hair short and also wore a headband. She also had some sort of weapon and it looked like she and the other girl was going into a fight.
Quistis shifted her sight to the other woman. She wore brown boots, a yellow dress and had short brown hair that was done in a very unique style that she had only seen on one person.
[orange]Wait… brown boots, yellow dress… and that hair… Selphie![/orange] Quistis began quickened her pace until she was in a quick jog. As she approached she saw Selphie put away her Nunchakus. It seemed that she didn’t want to fight the other girl and Quistis hoped that the black-haired girl would lower her weapon as well. [orange]”Selphie!”[/orange] She shouted as she came up to the two other women so she would make her presence known to them as not to startle them.
[orange]”Selphie! I’m so glad I found you. I was starting to think I wouldn’t find anybody.”[/orange] She decided not to mention her encounter with Seifer as she knew that the spunky little brunette held no love for the man who helped an evil sorceress bring an end to their world. She did want to hug Selphie but she had to stay on her guard in the presence of this stranger. [orange]”So who’s your friend Selphie?”[/orange] She asked casually to attempt to show the other woman that she was not hostile just as Selphie had by lowering her weapon. But she kept a hand next to Save the Queen just to be on the safe side.

thisistenpercentluck* twenty percent skill. fifteen percent concentrated power of will. five percent pleasure. fifty percent pain. and one hundred percent reason to remember the name Yuffie eyed the girl nervously. She didn't trust so easily after someone randomly draws a weapon on her. Who the hell does that? Sure she's a trained ninja who could wipe the floor with most people, but upon approaching the girl she thought her stance was harmless enough. Yuffie frowned, and slowly attached her weapon to it's holster on her back. She extended her hand slowly towards the girl and shook it firmly. She tapped her left foot on the ground a couple of times before smiling again.
"So I guess we just need to figure out where it is we are now?" She offered. She tensed when she heard another person approaching. Was this some sort of trap? Geeze this girl's paranoia had her paranoid. Though this person could be the one who brought her here, or just be forced to play bait for whoever it was approaching them. Yuffie glanced over her shoulder to the blonde woman who was jogging towards them. She was calling this Selphie's name.
This girl had been talking like she didn't know how she got here and suddenly she had a friend. That didn't sit right with the young ninja. She didn't pull out Conformer again, but she was ready to at a moment's notice. She shifted uncomfortably, but was able to understand that the woman was asking who she was.
"Yuffie Kisaragi....I uh woke up in that direction." She said, pausing to wave in the direction she came from. "And I found her just a moment ago, and had hoped she knew where we were. Seems she's just as lost as I am though." She said, scratching her head. She assumed because the woman knew Selphie that she was probably just as lost. Or at the very least it meant other people like them were being brought over. She might run into the rest of her friends. That would be a relief. She hoped they were ok. She frowned, but shook her head of the thoughts. Her friends were tough they could take care of themselves. No need to worry. Besides worrying wouldn't help her get out of this mess.
"So I'm guessing you don't know where it is we are either huh?"
[/color]She asked looking expectantly at the woman. She hoped that she was communicating with them ok. She knew that something as simple as dialect was a difficult language barrier at times, but she needed to find out where they were. Or at the very least how to find a safe place to crash. "Or at least do you know where the closest water source is?" She asked curiously. She knew she was pretty dehydrated from wandering before. She was pretty sure she would need to re-hydrate. "Dunno if the water here is safe but I have iodine tabs."[/color] She said pulling out the small vial from her many pockets. It was part of her survival pack. Never knew when you were going to be stranded somewhere with less than pleasant drinking water. Especially on Gaia. She also had a metal flask in her back pocket. Of course that wasn't standard issue, but it fit in her pocket. It didn't matter that strangers thought she was carrying alcohol or whatever, it was small and convenient, unlike the bulky plastic things that people were always telling her to carry with her. Or when. Who knew, maybe this person had brought them both-- Wait a minute. Was that... Quistis?
She heard the voice, wasn't certain but as she turned, who could mistake that blond hair? She did not know of another person who had just cornsilk hair. She raised an eager hand and waved - wait. Was this still part of a ploy? Doomtrain rumbled in her mind and it felt almost aggravated that she was being so suspicious - it was just as pleased, surprisingly, to recognize someone from her world. Maybe it was just as stressed about suddenly having so much extra space and being in an odd place. ... Nah. It was probably utterly loving all that extra room in her brain to suck on more memories. A mental apology to the ethereal train, Selphie grinned as the woman in the peach pants/skirt combo came running up - she'd no idea how the woman managed to pull it off, but she did.
”Selphie! I’m so glad I found you. I was starting to think I wouldn’t find anybody," Quistis grinned in relief. The flippy-haired girl herself was bouncing in excitement at the sight of a familiar face, all previous suspicious thought about the whip-wielder gone and listened as she spoke further ”So who’s your friend Selphie?” This Yuffy person spoke up at that point, and Selphie turned her attention to the other woman as she introduced herself and nodded as it was said that they were both clueless. It was still a bit difficult understanding the teenager, but it was becoming more clear the more she talked. When it was questioned about a water source, Selphie's eyes grew wide and she turned to stare at her friend expectantly. She had no idea what spells Quisty had stocked, but knew her own didn't include Water - at least she couldn't feel the cool thought that typically meant she had it. When the headbanded girl mentioned tabs and pulled something from a pocket, she couldn't help but feel a bit impressed - that was something she never really thought of. Typically it'd be a spell to help things out, but she was prepared for if there weren't anything like that. ... Wait. Did this girl come from an area with Water spells? If not, then that would definitely make sense to always have some.
Suddenly Selphie realized something Quistis had said. "You. You couldn't find anybody? ... You... you mean..." The girl's face grew terrified, "this planet is uninhabited?" Panic started to grow in the young woman, "No. No it couldn't be uninhabited, it's way too pretty. Plus there's air that we can breathe." She started to calm down, but then it came back again. "... Quisty. What do you mean you couldn't find anybody? Our friends are missing?!" She was very quickly starting to panic again, pacing and looking a bit crazed at the news - no. Surely there was one of their friends here. Maybe Irvine. Squall? Surely Rinny. What about Edea? Quistis was excited to finally find one of her friends. After that run in with Seifer she really wanted to see a friendly face. Besides the blonde haired man Quistis was surrounded by strangers on this world and it was beginning to unnerve her a bit. Selphie was always the most optimistic out of the group and it was a refreshing change of pace to Quistis’s rather depressing state of mind since she arrived here but running into Selphie gave Quistis renewed hope that they would find everyone else in time as well. She had to know that they were alright.
As the dark haired woman spoke up Quistis turned her attention over to her. [orange]”It’s a pleasure to meet you Yuffie. So neither of you know where this is huh?”[/orange] She looked over at Selphie to see her nod in confirmation to Yuffie’s statement. So Selphie was brought here just like she was and if this Yuffie girl didn’t know where she was that either meant that she was lost or she wasn’t from this world either. Quistis wasn’t about to start prodding the dark haired girl with questions so she settled on telling Selphie what she did know and this information might fill In some gaps for Yuffie as she had said that she supposed the Quistis didn’t know where they were either.
[orange]“No no Selphie, It’s nothing like that. There are lots of people living on this world. Now, I don’t know where we are exactly but I know that this is not our home. Somehow we were transported to a different world. I know this because I woke up in a very large city about the same size as Esthar and as we both know Esthar is the only large city on our world, not to mention the technology is very different.”[/orange] Quistis said, then her mood sombered a bit. [orange]”Selphie, I should tell you that you’re not the first one from our world that I ran into. I… I also found Seifer too. I know you don’t like him but if you, me, and him are all here then that means that the others could be here too. We’ll find them together. Okay?”[/orange] Quistis said smiling. She knew that Selphie didn’t like the man but Quistis felt that she should know all the facts.
Then Quisitis looked over at Yuffie. [orange]”I thought the same thing about the water around her. I’m pretty thirsty myself and I’m sure Selphie is too. I know a water spell. We could use that to get some water but I don’t have anything to put it into.”[/orange] Quistis thought for a moment. [orange]”I could lead you both back to the city I woke up in. We could get some food and rest and perhaps figure out what to do next. What do you both think about that?”[/orange] She asked.
Quistis didn’t know much about Yuffie but she seemed like she could handle herself and she knew how to survive if those iodine tablets were any indication but there was no harm in asking her to join her and Selphie. At least until they got to the city.
