[/i] Vanille's head popped up in her hazy dream and she saw Fang with everyone. Snow, Lightning, Sazh, Hope, Dajh, and Serah were all with Fang. "Fang.." Vanille muttered in reality and cried out in her dream. Putting her hands on her knees, Vanille bounded up and began running toward her family. Closer that she got, the better she could see everyone's smiles. Everything was perfect. Jihl was no where to be seen; also, her bruises and cuts were gone. No worries and Oerba was back to how it used to be. In reaching distance, Vanille put her arms on each side of Fang's chest and let Fang hug her. "You did good Vanille." Fang commented. Before Vanille could answer she heard Hope speak. "We....L'Cie.." Hearing Hope made her let go of Fang and look to the sky. Where she once was, crystallized to protect Cocoon from falling. Vanille brought her two index fingers together, along with locking her pinkies with each other; however, when she opened her eyes things were getting fuzzy. When the fuzz got worse, the ground began to shake a bit from underneath her. Jihl's words filled her head as she put her hands on each side of her arms, hugging her chest. Only person who seemed to notice this was not normal was Hope. He had his boomerang out and was saying unintelligible words. Followed by other words from the man who had saved her once from Jihl. Vanille held her head and shook it from side to side. "Please..go away.." Vanille muttered. Here in this dream she was happy, Fang was here, Hope was here, Sazh was here, and everyone she held close in her heart. Blinking her eyes open, Vanille took in the scenery she had seen before she had passed out. It was only a dream.. Vanille thought. A familiar face was the next thing she noticed. Well it had been a number of years, but was it Hope? "Hope?" Vanille asked. "Is that really you?" It had to be a dream still, but what kept her doubt was the pain that was still flowing through her body. Without much thought, Vanille wrapped her arms around her friend and embraced him in a hug. Hop had grown up so much, it was almost looking at someone else. As happy as she was to see Hope, Jihl was here and interrupting her dream. Why couldn't I stay asleep, Vanille thought. Blinking Vanille stood on her own to feet, the phoenix down helped with some of her wounds, but some wounds were still there. Questions and talks would have to wait, she had no plans to go back on that ship. Jihl was back to reclaim her toy and Hope too. Keeping her composure, Vanille quickly changed to her Medic role and cast Cure on herself. Still had a knack for finding trouble. No doubt that was true still. "We can't leave him here to face her alone." Vanille said, while she grabbed her Binding Rod. "Why do you keep doing this to us?" Vanille called out to Jihl. Noctis was dealing with his own problems, two Behemoths and he seemed to be doing really well on his own. He had helped her once before, leaving him here would be no way to repay him. Not only were there two Behemoths on the field, but there were two Pumas as well, just as thirsty for blood from Vanille and Hope. Even though Vanille had casted Cure on her body, she still felt tired and sore, and the dream was still beckoning for her. If Hope was here, then maybe she could find Fang too. Even more motivation to escape from Jihl. A Nightblade Puma began it's first attack on Vanille, which gave her the quick decision to swing her rod and let the four cables hit the Puma. With another tug on her rod, the cables hit the Puma as it continued to get closer to her.[/ul] (OOC: Took this from a site that I have Vanille on. Here is the archived thread)

When Vanille uses her weapon, four cables come out of the ends and attacks her opponent. Her weapon's top is shaped something like antlers and can be bent into a smaller form. Personality: Vanille likes to be seen as the happy girl and will try to keep a positive attitude, no matter the situation. However, sometimes the trying fails and the situation will effect her greatly. In those times she will either run, cry, or try to convince people to run with her. She does have the tendency to be cowardly and she is perfectly fine with that fact. Running saves lives and saves strength for something greater. Endangering other people is not a wish of hers, something she rather dislikes doing. When she endangers someone Vanille will try to help in any way she can, but she will not admit to endangering them. That is if they do not know it was her, unneeded extra conflict she would rather avoid. Also the fear of facing the truth or anything along those lines, makes her even more afraid to not speak the truth. When confronted with the guilt she harbors and scolded for it, Vanille will accept any discipline that comes her way. Even death if it was hurting them enough, if she feels like she deserves death she will accept it.
When she causes something that hurts someone, Vanille will also lie about it. Lie enough to make it seem like she was not involved. Past all her faults, Vanille is a very sweet and friendly person. The bright side of everything is something to look at, the darkside of things can be painful and unpleasant, why hurt yourself when you could be happy. On the occasions when her fears or guilts catch up to her, she tries to hide her sadness in any way possible. Crying only confirms what she feels deep down. Besides being the cheerful, happy, and carefree girl who would expect a fierce fighter. Through all this Vanille has her serious moments and will speak without her child innocence, she speaks with maturity that greatly shows. At these moments, is when she feels accomplished and feeling a bit of nostalgia. Curiosity can do quite the number on a girl, Vanille loves to go exploring and will get curious about many things she sees. Things that remind her of the "happier" days will catch her attention and giggles, blushes, and smiles follow.
History: Vanille was born on Gran Pulse in the village of Oerba, five centuries before the events of meeting up with her new family. During the events of the War of Transgression, Vanille's family met their deaths at the hands of Cocoon's Fal'Cie and L'Cie. Because of this, Vanille was living at the Orphanage in Oerba where she met Fang. She two had lost her family the same way, not long after meeting the two quickly became very close friends. Soon after becoming friends, Fang decided to become a L'Cie to protect Gran Pulse and Vanille. When Vanille learned what Fang wanted to do, she did get worried for her safety and tagged along with Fang.
When the Pulse Fal'Cie Anima gave them the powers of a L'Cie, they were also given the power to turn into Ragnarok together. Along with this power, their focus was to destroy Cocoon. Ever since Vanille was a bit scared of using the power of Ragnarok, finally at the war's climax Vanille ran. Using the power of Ragnarok did scare her and she could not bear to use the power. With this decision it left Fang alone and forced to become a incomplete Ragnarok. Fang was only able to damage the shell of Cocoon, the Goddess Etro witnessed this and crystallized Fang before she could continue. Full of regret of what she did, Vanille was also crystallized in Oerba. Barthandelus found her there, placed her in the Pulse Vestige, and brought Vanille back to Cocoon in secret during the aftermath of the war.
Five hundred years later, Vanille awoke in Cocoon with Fang nearby and without any memory of what had happened. She had no idea about their focus, about Ragnarok, or about what Vanille did. When Fang questioned Vanille if she remembered anything about their focus, Vanille lied and said she didn't, her fear of hurting more innocent people wouldn't allow her to tell Fang what it was. Fang then checked Vanille's L'Cie brand and vowed to remember the focus. She also vowed to not let Vanille turn into a Cie'th, no matter what. With constant looking for any answers, or clues, the two head back to the Vestige. When they return, Fang suspected a possible intruder. They both ran to where Anima was and there lay Serah Farron, Vanille then noticed the Pulse L'Cie brand on Serah's arm. Seeing this, Vanille started to blame herself and felt even more guilt. A citizen of Cocoon was branded and it was all her fault. Vanille believed the Fal'Cie had seen through her lies and branded Serah to do the task that Vanille wouldn't. Vanille and Fang then carry Serah outside the Vestige and make sure everything is okay with her until she wakes up.
As a few days pass, things grew desperate for Fang. Using their stolen ID cards, they board a train and travel to Euride Gorge. Upon arriving, Fang wants to attack the Fal'Cie Kujata in hopes of remembering their focus. Vanille was very reluctant on doing this. While this was happening, Dajh Katzroy stumbles into the room and is branded as a L'Cie. A little boy who looked to young to even be here by himself, how could a Fal'Cie do this? This little boy may not even understand his focus and most likely won't have the power to do anything. Feeling responsible for the little boy, Vanille did not want to just leave him where he was, even though Fang and Vanille were now being chased by PSICOM soldiers. Vanille then tells Fang she wants them both to go back to Pulse and just forget about the focus. However, Vanille's idea was something that Fang would refuse to let happen. If they did so, that meant Vanille turning into a Ci'eth. Ending the discussion quickly, Fang told Vanille to run while she held off PSICOM. Vanille, being herself, refused to leave Fang to face the wrath of PSICOM. They were the Pulse L'Cie attacking the Sanctum Fal'Cie. She could not just run while Fang stayed here and faced the fire. Not hearing anything of it, Fang pushes Vanille into an elevator and is taken away from Fang.
After being forced to leave her friend behind, Vanille went back to the Vestige in Bodhum. What else could she do? Vanille decides to explore a little bit of Bodhum at the very least. When she does, Vanille ends up standing nervously near the mall. Her guilt of being forced to leave Fang was heavy on her shoulders. Here is where she sees the same type of white bird she sees when they "borrowed" the ID cards. With that thought she began to wander Bodhum and saw it for it's true beauty. Cocoon was a beautiful place, the more she thought about it, the more the guilt set in. Dajh and Serah, it was all her fault they were L'Cie. With these thoughts, she trips and falls scraping her leg on the beach. When this happened, Serah Farron managed to find Vanille damaged and helped her out. The two quickly struck a friendship and the two talked about Vanille wanting to apologize to someone. Vanille realized that this was the girl, the girl that was made a L'Cie because of her. Vanille got on her knees and started apologizing, but Serah was unaware of Vanille's involvement. A few days later, Vanille attended the fireworks show in Bodhum. It was their she made a wish for no more harm to come to Cocoon. Even if it went against her focus, she had prepared her mind to become a Cie'th. The next day, Anima had been discovered in the Vestige and action was quickly taken. The purge was in effect and almost everyone was to be purged. Vanille believed that this was a forced migration to Gran Pulse, why not board the Purge train? Go back home and wait for the Cie'th fate to take over. While on the train she keeps thinking of Fang and how she was forced to leave her closest friend behind. Her only comfort is the fact that Cocoon won't be harmed when she turns into a Cie'th, also the fact that Fang's brand was scorched. Which meant no turning into a monster for her.
While on the train, the train was stopped and derailed by two people's escape. NORA was there to also rescue the people being purged. When asked for them to wait to stay safe, someone brings up that they want to help. The leader, Snow Villiers, begins offering guns to people who want one. Vanille stepped up and took the last gun, while pointing the gun at Snow with a grin and giggle. The peopled being purged was set off into groups and Vanille's was sent to the upper brideway. This is where she witnessed a death of a mother. The son of the mother was not taking it well, then again it was expected. He had just witnessed his mother's death. Vanille knowing they had to get to safety, had to slap him to get his mind straight. Letting him know she was friendly and nice, Vanille immediately took off her purge cloak and handed Hope the gun she was holding. Afterwards Vanille pulled him into a hug and let him know to mourn later, right now there was something else that needed to be done. After getting to safety they noticed Snow was also back. Vanille started to encourage Hope to talk to Snow. When Hope hesitated, Vanille began to accompany him as they approached Snow, unfortunately Snow rushed off. This did not wave off of Vanille's mind so easily. A new friend was in need of much needed closure. Taking Hope to Gadot's bike, she convinced Hope to drive the bike with her and follow Snow to the Pulse Vestige.
They finally make it to the Pulse Vestige, but ended up crashing the bike and knew there was no way the thing would run again. It was here, where she claimed her weapon she left behind all that time ago. She then gets accused by Hope that she isn't taking the situation serious, since she was acting bubbly and giggling a lot. Vanille tried to calm Hope down, but was unsuccessful. They both then went searching for Snow, after all he was the reason they came to the Pulse Vestige. Hearing Snow's voice close by, the two ran deeper into the Vestige and were attacked by Cie'th. While fighting off the monsters, Snow jumped in and helped ward them off. Snow began to say that two kids shouldn't be there, apparently he did change his mind, he allowed them to stay so he could protect them and search for Serah at the same time. Vanille then continues encourage Hope to talk to Snow, but once again he hesitates. They soon find Serah unconscious on the ground and find the two people responsible for the derailment. Vanille immediately recognized Serah and remained quiet while things heated up in the group. Things had been decided, they were going to find out if they could set Serah free by negotiating with Anima. As Lightning, Sazh, and Snow began to fight Anima, Anima awoke and branded Vanille's new friends. They were now all L'Cie, branded by the very Fal'Cie that branded Vanille all those years ago. They then fall and land on Lake Bresha that had now been crystallized. Finding Serah's crystallized body, Vanille began to help Snow try to dig/cut Serah free from the lake. When questions arised about the focus and being branded, Vanille pretended she had just been branded as well. This was also a good time to remain silent about her past, telling the truth would make things even worse.
After leaving Snow behind to stay with Serah, the rest of the group found some Abandoned Ruins. Vanille being herself, she had the overwhelming urge to explore the area. She was warned to stray to far, but Vanille didn't listen. Because of this she was attacked by something that did scare her out of her mind, that also made her run for help from her friends. Fleeing still sounded like a good idea at the time. In the ruins, Sazh was able to find a airship that they were able to use to leave the ruins. Which they were able to dodge enemy ships, but at the expense of crashing into the Vile Peaks. Lightning then begins to tire herself out of running from PSICOM forces, then separated herself from the group. Hope wanted to tag along with Lightning, while Sazh wouldn't let a kid by herself and followed Vanille. While keeping her spirits high, Vanille kept a positive attitude and continued on with Sazh. The two then find Hope abandoned by Lightning, Vanille then started to try and cheer him up. She then attempted to cheer him up by saying they could get him back to his father. Eventually the three do end up finding Lightning and start fighting together again.
After the battle with a Dreadnaught, Lightning once again runs ahead to Eden, Hope then runs with Lightning again. With Sazh and Vanille alone, they begin to discuss their fates. Sazh mentions that the world would be a better place without Pulse. Vanille starts to subtly defend her home world, but tries her hardest to hide her true feels. Didn't want suspicion rising about her being from Gran Pulse. Conversation over, Vanille draws a line in the dirt and insists for Sazh not to cross it while she sleeps. During the night while Sazh slept, sadness hit Vanille again and she wanted to feel close to someone. Sazh had proved to be kind and protective, she then laid next to Sazh and fell asleep.
When they woke back up they had no destination in mind really. Just went where they could, the place they found themselves in was Sunleth Waterscape. Vanille is immediately in love with the place. It reminded her of Oerba in many ways. Her happy memories and reminiscing is quickly over. She notices Sazh getting worried after seeing Sanctum ships flying overhead and he made it clear his worry for Lightning and Hope. Vanille then offers the idea to run to the city of dreams. Sazh then tells Vanille about his son and how he was a L'Cie. As he told her about what had happened, she realized Sazh was the father of the little boy that was made a L'Cie. She felt another load of guilt hit her. Yet another life ruined because of her, all because of her. They sneak onto the docks and Sazh doesn't blame the Pulse L'Cie that was responsible. Vanille starts to try and get him to blame them, she just could not bring herself to tell him of her involvement. Feeling overwhelmed, she says he should blame them and runs out in the rain in tears.
When they reach Nautilus, the city of dreams, her cheery demeanor can't be hidden any longer. The guilt is still getting to her about her friend and his son. Vanille wishes to tell him, but she can not find the courage or will to even tell him. Sazh notices the sudden change in her personality, suggests that they go watch the Pompa Sancta to cheer her up. On their way to the show, the see on screens their friends creating chaos. Even more shocking was seeing Fang. Seeing her alive and well, as well as a Pulse L'Cie can get while being attacked. As people are cheering for the L'Cie to be killed, all Vanille can do is shed a few tears. Will this truly make the people of Cocoon happy?
After the two see the beautiful show, Vanille does show a little bit of happiness. They end up going to the Chocobo Corral. Which is where Sazh reveals the his real intentions of turning himself in, in an attempt to see his son. Not wanting her friend to do this, Vanille starts trying to convince him not to do so. To take revenge on the Pulse L'Cie instead. At long last she was going to the truth of who was involved. Before Vanille got the chance to spit it out, Sanctum starts attacking from above. Even though Sazh wishes to turn himself in, he keeps his vow to protect Vanille before he does so. The duo flee to the Clock Tower and face the Midnight Reaper. After their victory, Dajh comes to see Sazh and shocks the two. With a smile the boy crystallizes right before them. Jihl Nabaat and her troops come before them. Jihl starts talking about Dajh's focus, to capture Pulse L'Cie and that was exactly what Dajh helped Jihl do. As Sazh starts feeling more agony for his son, Jihl shows the security footage of when Dajh was made a L'Cie. The footage revealing Vanille's, and Fang's, involvement. Unable to keep standing in that spot and face Sazh at that moment, Vanille flees in tears to the Fiendlord's Keep. Jihl holds off the soldiers from attacking, she thinks it will be a good time to collect data from watching a L'Cie kill another L'Cie. Vanille stops in a courtyard and sees Sazh. He talks to Vanille about her being a coward, dragging people down with her, and using them as shields. Telling her also she is a killer and deserves to die with the guilt she has being holding. As he shoots bullets at her, she realizes it is nothing more than a vision; however, he spoke the truth in her mind. Her guilt had finally caught up to her and she would have to face it, even if it meant facing her death. As Sazh arrives, Vanille has accepted the fact that she deserves to die. It was her fault for all the things that went wrong, her fault for destroying innocent lives, and she was ready to accept the consequences. She reveals her true name and says everyone on Cocoon will consider her evil. Still in tears, she spreads her arms and demands that Sazh shoot her for all that she has done. When he refuses to shoot her and starts yelling that nothing will change in her death. Vanille starts to sob more and question what does he want her to do. Death seemed the right consequence for all the death and unjust she had caused. As he is unsure also, Sazh's Eidolon appears and Vanille immediately throws herself in front of Sazh. With this action, the two fight side by side to defeat the Eidolon. After the battle he once again points his gun at Vanille. Crying tears, she spreads her arms once more to accept the punishment. As Sazh can not do this, Vanille sinks to her knees and sobs even more. Much to her horror she sees her friend raising the gun to his own head. As Vanille closes her eyes so she does not have to see the horror, a gun shot fires and she sees her friend had fired elsewhere. A bit of relief flowed through her at this, her friend did not kill himself because of her actions. Jihl promptly comes to the duo and has the soldiers restrain them. She tells them that Dajh will be a memorial for capturing two Pulse L'Cie and knocks Sazh unconscious. She then takes the two to face execution in Eden.
On board the ship Palamecia, Vanille reveals to Sazh her focus from five hundred years ago and calls herself pathetic for lying to everyone. Being questioned about being crystallized, Vanille tells Sazh it was like she had been sleeping and that Dajh will wake up as well. With her focus, she reveals everything of what she had done before being crystallized. For once, it was a bit of a relief to finally reveal what had been done. She no longer had to hide the truth and lie about it. Sazh then forgives Vanille when he revealed it had been an accident, also the fact that Vanille was just a kid. Soon two PSICOM soldiers arrive to escort them to a new area, Sazh knocks out the soldiers as Vanille uses a gun to destroy the watchdrone. They then realized that the group had come to rescue them, Vanille then said it was her time to rescue Fang. Soon after the duo reach the rest of the group and Vanille is overjoyed to see Fang. The two embrace in a hug and Fang promptly checks Vanille's brand. Vanille got the news from her she still had time left before she would turn into a monster. The reunion is cut short when Vanille and Fang capture a Garuda to ride. The ride the monster to face the Fal'Cie named Barthandelus, soon after they take an airship.
They soon find themselves in the Fifth Ark. They discover that all the technology is Pulsian and Vanille remembers the legends of building these weapons in case of an invasion. After the group defeats Cid Raines, Fang faces her Eidolon after refusing to go against their focus. Soon after a new path is revealed and Vanille finds a Pulsian airship they can use to fly to Gran Pulse. Hopefully there was a way to change their fate as a L'Cie on Pulse. When they are passing through the gate to Gran Pulse, the airship is attacked and a hole is ripped through the roof. Vanille and Hope begins to get sucked out and start to plummet to the ground of Gran Pulse. Thankfully they are rescued by Bahamut and land safely with everyone on Gran Pulse. When they make base camp at Vallis Media, Vanille wakes up from a strange dream. The chocobo chick came flying back to camp, Vanille being the only one that understood, something was happening to Hope's brand. They find him unconscious and bring him back to camp.
With the fear of turning into monsters, Vanille suggests going to Oerba. After Hope tames his Eidolon, the group start to head out toward Oerba in hopes to find something. In Yaschas Massif, Hope looks down or at least in deep thought. Vanille asks him what he is thinking about and reminds Hope of his promise he made her. The promise to see Gran Pulse together. When Hope seemed confused and said he didn't remember, Vanille giggled. She told him in another lifetime he had promised her. Hope got a little revenge by joking about liking it when Vanille smiled, he then ran off with Vanille blushing and chasing after him. In Paddra, they are walking to Oerba and see the Fal'Cie Dahaka flying over head. Seeing this, Vanille remembered of the Fal'Cie that resided close by Oerba. They then knew they were close and had a gut feeling that they would have to fight that thing to get by.
When they arrive in Mah'habara Fang reveals that she remembers everything. That she had become Ragnarok and that Vanille had been lying. When Vanille realized here dearest and closest friend had found out her deepest secret, Vanille's brand starts to glow as her Eidolon appears. Fang then admits that she was simply bluffing, mostly to see if Vanille would admit to knowing something. Agreeing to talk later, the two defeat Hecatoncheir. After Vanille gains Hecaton, her nickname for her summon, she tells Fang why she lied. That she was scared, also that it wasn't fair while Fang did all the horrible stuff. Especially while Vanille had to sit back and do nothing. Fang embraces Vanille and forgives her for the lies that she told. She then reminded Vanille that she was no longer alone, that they had a new family. Soon after in Sulyya Springs, Vanille admits to Snow about meeting Serah in Bodhum. Vanille also told him about Serah's dream of becoming Ragnarok. She also reassured him that Serah had beaten her focus by passing Cocoon's fate onto them.
When the reach the top of Taejin's Tower, the group face the Fal'Cie that resided in that tower. Luckily the guardians who were there, had cut pieces of it's tail off to weaken it. After their victory, Vanille and Fang talk about how Oerba was naturey and very beautiful. Their hopes were cut when Sazh said it didn't look like that anymore. They looked down onto it and saw nothing but white. Concerned for Vanille, Lightning asks her if she would like to stay behind. Vanille says that she must see it for herself. When they finally reach Oerba, Fang talks about how everyone lived together. Vanille confirmed it saying things were like one big family. She is filled with shock however at the fact that Oerba was no longer full of life, or color at all. After they face Barthandelus once again, Vanille reactivates a Cie'th stone in hopes to find out what had happened to Oerba. Vanille then reads the runes that the Cie'th stone projected. It told about the events of the War of Transgression after Vanille and Fang were crystallized, it also spoke briefly about the Goddess Etro having involvement. After reading the runes, Vanille tells everyone about her wish she made. For nothing to happen to Cocoon and no harm will come to it. She then says she should not have wished for that. She says that she should have promised she would not let anything happen to Cocoon. With that in mind, Vanille makes a promise to keep Cocoon safe no matter what.
Knowing full well of plans to create chaos on Cocoon, the group pilots a ship back to Cocoon to defend it. When they reach Cocoon, they pop in right in the middle of Grand Prix Circuit and have to fight their way to Orphan's cradle. Everyone got a chance to use their summon to help each other and protect one another. When they finally reach Orpahn's cradle, Vanille smiles when she sees crystal particles floating everywhere. It reminds her of Oerba, because that was how it used to be. When they finally reach Barthandelus, they defeat him once more and come face to face with Orphan. He then orders Fang to become Ragnarok once more and tortures Vanille to provoke rage inside Fang. Seeing Vanille tortured, Fang finally agrees to become Ragnarok and destroy Orphan. Orphan releases Vanille and she tries her hardest to change Fang's mind. When she mentions protecting her family, she attempts to strike Vanille down but is stopped by everyone in the group. The rest of the group begins to turn into Cie'th and strike down on Fang, all in horror to Vanille as she starts sobbing that she has to watch it. In a rage, Fang turns into a incomplete Ragnarok and attacks Orphan. After Fang fails to destroy Orphan and reverts to her original self, Vanille watches in horror as Fang is tortured. When Vanille is told to run, she says she is through with running. She would rather fight and fail, then not try at all. Vanille almost accepts the demands of turning into Ragnarok with Fang, when the rest of the group is normal and save Fang from being tortured. They talk where they saw a happy smiling future with everyone, which was something worth fighting for.
After Orphan's destruction, the group float above Eden and watch the destruction of everyone. As the group yells to stay together, they notice Vanille and Fang are beneath them. Ignoring their yells, Vanille accepts Ragnarok and they both turn into Ragnarok. With the power to destroy, certainly they can save too. As they charge to stop Cocoon from crashing to Gran Pulse, Cocoon crystallizes above Gran Pulse with Vanille and Fang crystallized inside. As the rest of the group is crystallized, they soon wake up and see crystallized Cocoon. Their brands were gone. Along with their brands, Fang and Vanille had made the ultimate sacrifice to save Cocoon and fulfilled their focus. While crystallized, Vanille feels at peace and finally calm about what had happened. She had kept her promise to not bring any more harm to Cocoon. She tells Hope they will meet again and laughs when Fang tells Lightning and Snow not to rescue them. "What are you going to do? You know what they're like..."
FFXlll-2(SPOILERS)
While Vanille dreams in the crystal pillar, she remembers the Goddess Etro's presence when they turned into crystal. She remembers also how the Goddess was seen as dark and evil, but feeling her presence made her question this. She remembers the constant visits Hope makes to the pillar. She also feels a bit of guilt for causing trouble for the future, and tells Hope to save it. Vanille calls out to Serah to save the future and make it happy once again. Since she had seen a future with a new place and young man.
While Serah was dreaming, because of Caius, Vanille appears before her and tells Serah that they can speak and see each other because they are also dreaming. Fang appears also and tells Serah that they are here to save her from endless dreaming. Fang also tells Serah that because she refused to believe this was her dream, it allowed them to contact her. Telling her that Noel needs her help so he won't be endlessly dreaming, Vanille and Fang leave Serah with a portal to the outside world.
By the year 500 A.F. Hope was able to save crystallized Vanille and Fang before Cocoon fell.
