Yuffie crouched low on the bar, full ninja skills into test. What was she doing, you ask? Oh, nothing much. Only stealing from PSICOM. Of course, it was no trouble for the Great Ninja Yuffie. She was an expert ninja, and had major skills when it came to…ahem… procuring an object of her interest. It was easy when it came down to it. Well, it was for Yuffie. She hadn’t climbed the Pagoda for nothing, of course! Still, now she was being tested. The brunette had already managed to sneak into one of PSICOMs buildings. So far, she had snuck past about 2 guards and evaded 3. Mind you, she still hadn’t reached her objective. Holding a ninja star between her index and middle finger, she looked down from beam she was hiding in. Yuffie couldn’t see any guards, and she sighed in relief. She slowly dropped down, and dusted down her shorts. ”PSICOM could at least clean up the place once in a while.” She grumbled under her breath.
She jogged lightly and reached the end of the hallway. Yuffie bit her bottom lip, and blew her hair out her eyes. Looking left to right, and seeing its safe, she quickly darted out to the shadows. Ninjas were known for their concealment, after all. Grinning like a Cheshire cat, she rushed forward to the electricity box. Yuffie knew she was rather pressed for time. If she turned off the electrics, according to her, PSICOM would frazzle and panic. That’s when she would strike, darting quickly towards her target and taking it. When Yuffie was taking, was intel. In her pocket, she had a small, quick, easy-hack memory stick she had from the more advanced technology places. All she would have to do was stick it in the USB port, hack the computer and the memory stick would automatically start retracting files as quickly as it could. She just hoped this would go right…
No! She was sure she would get this right! She was the Great Ninja Yuffie.
Taking a small tool out of her belt, Yuffie unscrewed the nails with a compact screwdriver. It wasn’t electric, so it was taking her a bit of time. Her fingers were fumbling slightly from her speed, but that didn’t matter. Finally ripping the lid off and dropping it on the floor, Yuffie gripped her ninja star and began cutting every, single wire, smiling as she could faintly hear everything powering down. ”Step Two, complete.” She muttered to herself. Stepping back, Yuffie could barely see things in the dark. However, the more her eyes adjusted, she could see well. Grinning, she sprinted down the corridor, the small slaps of her high tops echoing quietly. ”Now, to find that computer!” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words;; 599 Muse;; Great! Tagged;; Prompto! This place sure was a drag. With a sigh, Prompto sat on his seat and stared at the activity taking place. Boring. Completely boring. The men around him sure didn’t know about firearms. From his position Prompto could see what each of them was toting, and itched to get his hands on them. When Noctis had made the decision to join this group – or was pushed with the promise of getting them back home, they had looked at Prompto’s weapon and had instantly tried to hand him one of their own weaponry. He was fairly sure that laughing in their faces hadn’t made them happy, but damn, did they really think he’d give up his own guns, his babies, prized possessions, and modified guns for their cheap bit of weaponry? Hell no. He’d told them that too, which hadn’t gone well. Apparently they put a whole lot of pride in their pile of weapons. Well they could be impressed all they wanted, didn’t mean he would have to be.
Rolling his eyes slightly, Prompto placed his own weapon on the table in front of him, before propping his feet up and leaning back on the two legs of his chair. Some fancy pants had told him to wait here for him, saying that he had something for Prompto to do. That had been an hour before. Prompto was sick of waiting. Glancing once more at the clock that hung on the wall, he groaned, tipped his head back and tapped his fingers on the table to a popular beat from his own world. If this guy didn’t come in the next half hour, Prompto was out of here. He still had a lot of the world to check out, and as far as he was concerned, just because they had signed up for this side didn’t mean that they were loyal to this group of overzealous military men. Prompto hadn’t ever been loyal or given his allegiance to anyone aside from Noct.
He wasn’t changing now.
“Mr. Zarxen.” Oh God, that was his father. He was just plain old Prompto. Opening one eye, Prompto glanced at the fancy pants that had told him to come, inclining his head only slightly to say he noticed the other man’s presence. “Yo! Took ya long eno-…” That moment the lights went out. Cursing went on around him. Furrowing his brow, Prompto was on his feet with his shotgun loosely in his hand in an instant. “Damn it.” “The Academy sir?” “Must be. Riley, check the Southern system. Zarxen! You get the Northern system!” Despite the darkness around them, Prompto was starting to adjust, and started off with a roll of his eyes. “Whatever.”, he cheerfully called out, but picked up his pace as he went along. Making his way to the door, Prompto was nearly plowed over by someone rushing in, though he managed to duck to the right just in time. “Yo, watch out would ya’?!” “My apologies!” Rolling his eyes once more, Prompto slipped out the door and let it bang shut behind him. He’d really like to be home just about now.
Oh well, time for some excitement.

Yuffie could here them panicking, and smiled to herself. So far, so good. She just had to hope that the whole day would go like this. And hopefully not run into some random lackey. Knocking them out would take far too much time. Time the young ninja did not have. She quickened her pace, and as she saw some PSICOM approach, she scowled. "Great." She muttered. Maybe these PSICOM were a little smarter than she thought. Biting her lip, she directed her feet to the wall, and ran up the side, right past them. Yuffie didn't look to see if she was noticed. She was far too busy. She knew they would fix the electric as soon as she got the computer, and it would take them a small while to go over to it. By then, Yuffie would've left.
Releasing a sigh, she swallowed and quickened once more. She had to keep running. If she stopped, she would get caught. Yuffie couldn't get caught, she couldn't. This was her mission, nobody else! She just had to keep going. This mission was vital, even if it was a one woman show. It was vital to the Academy. Thus, she would play her part right. Suddenly, during her distractions, Yuffie had ran into somebody. "Ouch!" She called out, rubbed her head. She stood up, and her eyes widened when she realised it was PSICOM. "Watch where you're going next time, hot shot!" Yuffie hissed out, before picking up her pace again. Keep going, keep going. That was all that was running through her mind. Go, go, go! Yuffie frowned. She hoped PSICOM hadn't realised it was her that was the intruder. That would just be her luck though, wouldn't it?
Knowing there would be much larger groups of PSICOM appearing in the hallways, she raised her hands up and jumped up, latching her hands around the bar and swinging herself up onto it. Back to the dusty beam, it seems. Well, it was either that, or run into a load of the enemy. That was just what Yuffie needed. "Damn PSICOM and their damn annoying selves!" She muttered under her breath. Rubbing her sweaty palms together, Yuffie's feet speedened up to her own accord. Being the agile and quick ninja that she was, she withdrew three ninja stars in each hand, and held one between each finger. Pulling them up, Yuffie threw them at the idiots with guns. It hit their helmets, and knocked them out. At least that will keep hem occupied for a while. She thought.
Yuffie jumped down, bending her knees and landing with one knee down. Standing up straight, she looked left to right. She knew she was near her objective. It wouldn't take long to get there. A minute, maybe. Slowly walking, she kept looking behind her. This was where Yuffie had to be cautious, and precise. She had to make sure everything would go right, and no flaws would suddenly appear within her plan. Nibbling on her bottom lip, Yuffie walked north, towards the computer. Prompto lengthened out his stride quickly while he made his way down the corridor. He didn’t much like this place. Not that…well, it wasn’t the place in particular he supposed, so much as the people that Noct had them working for. At the same time, Prompto had no better ideas about what they could do aside from work for these guys, so…that kind of bombed as an idea. Despite not entirely liking the organization they were working for, the blonde could appreciate why Noct felt like he had to do so. Despite how impish the people seemed, he had to admit that the promise to help return them to their home was appealing to the blonde. Not that he wasn’t a fan of the giant creatures or the giant everything…or the lovely people that made up the PSICOM organization, but Prompto would much rather be back in Noct’s comfortable – if dark, mansion.
It was a lot easier to get the babes when you told them that you lived in a mansion anyway. While he was striding along, Prompto had lost track of himself for a few moments. In that time, he seemed to have collided with someone. Grunting lightly, Prompto reached out to try and steady the person he’d ran into. Before he could assist the young lady that was right there, she was yelling at him and the next moment had taken off down the hallway. Blinking slightly, Prompto stared after her for a moment before lifting his shoulder in a shrug, turning around and continuing down the hallway.
A few minutes later he stopped suddenly. Woah! That girl…he’d never seen her before then. Waaait a minute. Whirling around, Prompto set out at a run in the opposite direction. His run found him beside a few PSICOM men that had obviously just dealt with something. Kneeling beside the one man, he got a hand wave off down another hallway. “Little devil went that way.” With a nod, Prompto grabbed his shotgun. Snapping it open to see if it was fully loaded – despite knowing that anyway, Prompto quickly snapped it shut and took off in the direction that the man had waved him off of.
Well hell, he should have grabbed that little girl when he’d seen her the first time! At a full out run, the blonde dodged around a few corners and continued on, blue eyes scanning the surroundings at all times. Finally he saw her. “Hey you!”, he yelled out. With his strides lengthened, Prompto ran after her, weary of her pulling out some gun and blowing his head off.

WORDS: 692 OH, BY THE WAY: SLIGHTLY LONGER, AND I GUESS IT'S GETTING BETTER XD [/div] Of course, trust Yuffie to run into the one idiot that would chase her. Nothing could be easy, could it? Nope, not for her. However, she had a mission to do. Although, she was running blind practically. The ninja pulled out a hand-held device, and flipped a small switch. The screen glowed brightly, and she winced slightly. Tapping against it lightly, her eyes darted from left to right. So, if she took a few more turns and swerves, she ought to reach her target. Yuffie attached the device to her arm. She had only stopped for a moment. Pushing her hair out her eyes, she looked behind her to check for that guy. Well, at the moment, she couldn't see him. Releasing a sigh of relief quickly, she slumped a little. This, people, was rather tense.
Yuffie was mostly sure she had evaded most of the soldiers, and that there was not much point in running much now. She was rather close, anyway. Pulling out her Conformer, she ran her fingertips across one spike, making a single bead of blood fall from her hand. It was sharp enough. It could cause some damage, which was the positive side. She nodded, and slipped it back. Only a moment later, she heard the voice of that guy again. Really? Yuffie really didn't need this! She huffed, already having run far enough. She looked from left to right, but she couldn't see anything. She could hear some footsteps growing louder and louder, almost thumping against the ground loudly.
Yuffie scowled. "Crap..." She whispered, shaking her legs slightly. Was there much point in running? She was beginning to feel her legs ache, and she would have to stop eventually. So, why didn't she just face him and get it over and done with? Then again... most of PSICOM had guns, with the exception of about one twelfth of their battalion. One wrong move and BOOM! She had to be tactical and cunning here. Yuffie slumped once more, before turning round to the way she came. Why did everything have to be so... complicated? Couldn’t something be simple for once? No, it just had to be awkward, didn’t it? Ok, ok… what could she do. She paused for a moment and thought. Confrontation seemed the best idea. Then, Yuffie looked up. That beam was still there. She could jump up on that, and when that guy came, attack him.
Ok, that was good. She crouched before, springing up and pulling herself up on it. She stayed low, and tried to keep her balance. Yuffie and balance didn’t always get along. She clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth and pulled out her weapon again. She hadn’t actually planned this, and didn’t overly fancy the thought of one-on-one. It didn’t really appeal to her, to be honest. Her eyes were trained to the ground, waiting for just the right moment to strike. ”Any minute now…” She said under her breath. Waiting was key in this. After all, as she had been told numerous times, patience was a virtue. [/div]

After he’d sighted the girl, Prompto lengthened out his stride to follow her while she ran. Why did they always run? Didn’t they ever get any sort of original idea to deal with someone if they were attempting not to get caught? Well…it would make it easier for him anyway, since he was fast and had a long ranged weapon. If he needed to, he would bring her down and ask the questions later. A hard punishment for just running, but hell, this was a hard world that they’d found themselves in anyway. Besides that, he’d warned her to stop, so her failing to follow his direction would just result in this anyway. Shoving his shotgun back in the holster that was connected to his shoulders and back, Prompto slipped his handgun – highly accurate and modified for extremely high power – out of the holster on his thigh. Spinning the rounds, he kept a lookout ahead of him while he went through the motions of checking his current gun. This would be better for any ranged distance anyway, way better than his shotgun, even with all its power.
Fully loaded, excellent.
And then he didn’t see her. Woah. What? Prompto had taken his gaze off the woman while she dodged around a bit, and now that he’d turned the corner on the hallway, she’d disappeared. With a furrowed brow, Prompto glanced behind him, before he continued to jog down the hallway. Where could she have gone? She’d been right there before. He hadn’t heard a door close, but had she exited the long hallway on one of the few doors that was by the place? Straining his eyes against the dimly lit hallway, Prompto wet his lips and stopped when he came to the first door. Cocking his gun quickly, Prompto hesitated a moment and then snapped the door open, covering the inside with his handgun while he did so.
Just a storage room. “Hell.”, he muttered under his breath when he didn’t see any sort of hiding spot there. Quickly closing that door, Prompto continued down the hallway, his blue eyes searching for another door that she might have escaped through. Nothing there. Rolling his eyes back, Prompto came to another door on the opposite side of the hallway. Flipping that one open, he acted the same way he had previously. This time he had to flip on the lights inside as well, in time to see a large room that was packed with the hardwiring of the building. Cursing again, Prompto retreated from that as well, shutting off the lights and closing the door before he hefted up his handgun and started to once again run down the hallway. There weren’t any other doors, so where had she gone? Damn it! He had to catch up to this girl or the man back there was going to cook him up for breakfast.
One should always know that things come from above.
{NOTES} Finally posting again yaay! Also you can have her jump him any time |

now and then, I think of ALL THE TIMES YOU SCREWED ME OVER BUT HAD ME BELIEVING IT WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING THAT I'D DONE BUT I DON'T WANT TO LIVE THAT WHY READING INTO EVERY WORD YOU SAY YOU SAID THAT YOU COULD LET IT GO AND I WOULDN'T CATCH YOU HUNG UP SOMEBODY THAT YOU USED TO KNOW- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - TAG: PROMPTO! WORDS: 390 OH, BY THE WAY: STILL SHORT BUT I THINK I'M GETTING BETTER XD [/div] Oh, Yuffie could just tell that this whole operation got a whole lot more complicated. She wasn’t even guessing, she just knew. But, then again, lady luck had never really liked her. From her perch, she tried to hold back a laugh. Jeez, she really did have him confused with her sudden disappearance, huh? That, and the guy running around like a headless chicken was really, really funny. Yuffie slowly inched along the beam, in her crouch position. She had to get just above him, and able to pin the guy down. It couldn’t be that hard, after all. She was the Great Ninja Yuffie, Single White Rose of Wutai, Champion of The Earth and Sky. What can I say, she had a lot of titles. Looking down, she could see he was about to run past her. Now was her chance. If she took any longer, the moment would pass and she might not get the same chance after that, ever. She readied herself to drop in 3… 2… 1…
JUMP!
Landing on this guy’s back, Yuffie held her Conformer to his throat. Or, at least she tried to keep that position. Let’s just say, she wasn’t exactly the strongest person in the world. But, she wasn’t weak, either. ”Following me, eh? Who the heck are you?” She smirked, tightening her grip on her weapon. At the moment, she was not impressed. If anything, she just wanted to move on and do what she was sent for. End of. This was just a roadblock. And Yuffie had to clear it and carry on he path ahead. ”Look, I know everyone is just dying to talk to me, but I have very busy agenda. So, if you let me do what I gotta do, I’ll leave without hurting anybody else. Ok?” Her eyes flickered to his gun. She would have to deal with that. Like that saying, don’t bring a gun to a sword fight. Clicking her tongue, Yuffie hummed. Well, she couldn’t trust this guy’s word, and she couldn’t just leave him there. What to do, what to do…
Why were these things riddled with things that could go wrong? [/div]

The instant he felt someone drop down on him, Prompto also felt the hands that surrounded his throat. As soon as they did, he realized that he had the advantage. From the hands, he figured out quickly that it was the woman, even before she spoke. Her grip was far from strong anyway, so it shouldn’t be a problem to wrestle out of her grip. As soon as she asked him who he was, Prompto did just that. Twisting away, he batted her hands away with his shotgun barrel and stepped back. “Just can’t wait to get your hands on me.”, he commented with that devilish little smirk on his face. Unfortunately, she looked pretty young. Hell, she was just a kid. Well…probably only a few years younger than him, but still…
Instead of explaining to her who he was – because she didn’t deserve to know anyway – Prompto simply lifted his shotgun to rest on his shoulder, cocked his head, and leaned back against the wall in such a way that he could still study her from his position. Young, yeah, his first once over had been truthful there. She did look like she knew what she was doing with that weapon she was holding though, so he’d probably do well to be a bit careful-…ha! Careful? What fun was being careful in life? The only fun one could have would be to flirt with danger, and he did that often enough.
Lifting his left hand to his mouth as if he was actually thinking about her words, Prompto ‘hmm’ed softly and finally shook his head. “Sorry Honey, but you’re trespassing on private property, and I can’t let ya leave without a proper welcoming, ya know?” Prompto’s idea for a proper welcoming was what he was supposed to do. Unfortunately for the girl, that meant a prison cell, so she’d best hope that she did know how to use that weapon she was holding in her hands.
