Starfall: One of the Emperors most deadly attacks. He spins his staff above his head as he casts the spell. Slowly energy charges into it as a purple crest appears under him. Once it is fully charged he unleashes the attack as small meteors fall down from the sky before the actually attack hits. The Starfall itself is massive and it deals great damage. While the Emperor is charging he is protected from magical attacks. While in the air he stays still and does not descend. Once Emperor charges it the target cannot dodge or defend against this attack. Chargetime: 1 Post.

Silver Despot (left) or Violet Robes (Right)Abburoth: Gives the Emperor the appearance as the
Emperor of Abburoth (Bottom). This not only just changes his outwards appearance, but it makes his whole aura seem as if he is wholly good. No malice can be sensed within him, but this form is truely for deceit. This also gives him access to his Alternate EX, Power of Heaven's Light.
Blink: Creates four holograms of the Emperor that stick around for awhile. These holograms cannot do damage or take damage and are merely meant for fooling the opponent.
Personality: The Emperor is bent on ruling over all that exists. He is arrogant and believes all of his plans will succeed even if he does fail. On top of wanting to be the supreme being of exisitence, he believes he is the only one fit for the job. Anyone that he works with isn't considered a teammate nor are his enemies considered as such. They are nothing but simple pawns to him and his plans. His power to rule doesn't only stem from the fact that he is the ruler of Hell, but that he has the intelligence and cunning to back it up. His intelligence was shown when he had thought up the plan for Chaos to destroy Cosmos for good.
He is a master of traps for a reason, as stated he is very cunning and manipulative. It is those same skills that he uses to succeed. While he may be arrogant, he is also polite and never seems to lose his cool. He calls his enemies by thier names, but doesn't give it a second thought to call them worms or some other derogetory term. Also the Emperor isn't happy with humanity, in fact he hates it. The Emperor tends to make deals with entities that will bestow him power or life, but he isn't afraid to double cross them and try to steal their power for his own. No one is to be given mercy in his eyes, not even family members as he exiled his mother to the desert.
History: Sometime prior to the events of Final Fantasy II, Mateus had risen to the status as Emperor. As soon as he had become Emperor he had been influeneced by Satan, corrupting his mind. It was then he made a deal with the devil so that he could summon Hellspawn and start his plans on world domination. The kingdoms that resisted did not hold up their counteraction for much longer as they fell eventually. He went as far as poisoning the water supply to the Dragoon's Wyverns so that they would all be rendered powerless.
After these events he started construction on the Dreadnought, a powerful Airship that can eradicate towns easily from the sky. Using the Dreadnaught he captured Princess Hilda. Although the Dreadnought hadn't lasted long as it was destroyed in a fiery blaze later on by Firion and his group. However the Hilda that was on the Dreadnaught was not actually her, but a Lamia Queen. The real Hilda was taken captive at the Palamecia colliseum and was claimed to be the prize to the winners. However a trap was the Emperors plan all along and used Hilda as bait for it. Using the time that he had he summoned a giant Cyclone that he used to destroy many towns, and it was headed straight for Flynn. His plans were foiled as he was stopped and killed by Firion.
While the Emperor had been killed his soul was sent to Hell. Satan was going to claim The Emperor's soul as his own, but in a twist of fate the Emperor had fought and killed Satan. Once he had absorbed Satan's soul into his being he had transformed and became the new Emperor of Hell. The new Emperor did not waste time and had easily killed Richard who tried to confront him. Using his newfound power he summoned Pandaemonium itself where Palamacia stood. Not so long after, Firion and his party had broken in and defeated him and his Hellspawn generals, effectivly ending his reign. As his dark side was defeated, so was his light side. You see when he had become the Emperor of Hell he had also become the Emperor of Heaven. Up in Abburoth he was defeated by Minwu and the party he had gathered.
His defeat was not in vain though as he was brought back to life by the god of discord, Chaos. Chaos had summoned him and the other Warriors of Chaos to battle against Cosmos and her warriors. Mateus and the other warriors had proved fearsome as they dominated over the first tweleve wars. A plan had came to him when the twelth war was taking place. If the Warriors of Cosmos were to get crystals by the goddess herself, they could be of use to himself. It was when he found Jecht and had him transformed into a Warrior of Chaos before the purification of Shinryu had started. Since Jecht was a Warrior of Cosmos he would have his own crystal and because he was converted while the crystal was inside of him it would make a dark crystal.
By using the dark crystal the Emperor had planned to rule over everything once both gods were taken care of. That is when he had told Chaos on how to rid of Cosmos for good. Once his plans were in motion everything was set up for the thirteenth war. However his own plans seemed to backfire on him because he was defeated once more at the end of the War. Death seemes to be of no threat to the Emperor however as he was able to reappear again. Armed with his knowledge of the other Worlds that exist out there and without the restriction of the endless cycle, he would be able to plan to take over the other Worlds out there.
