This world and it's people. Lucrecia's arms hung around her frame, her clothes were dry, but she was hungry and tired and had been walking for so long her legs were soar. Every-time she would stop and ask someone for help they would cast her aside like a parasitic stray dog; she had no money, no food, no shelter and she was cold alone and confused.
How was she back? How did this happen? She should have been in a crystal suffering, but this too was another form of suffering and she felt like she deserved it.
Lucrecia came across a beautiful city it seemed advanced scientifically a little bit like Midgar, but this was on a different calibur and Lucrecia couldn't help but be in awe. She kept her head down her bangs covering her eyes as she remained curled within herself, her arms protective around her frame clutching for warmth and comfort.
Where was Vincent? Was he safe? Was he alright? Lucrecia didn't know if she should ask aroudn for him, but she didn't deserve to be in his presence she was the reason his life was in shambles and she couldn't forgive herself for that... she couldn't allow herself to follow her feeling towards the crimson eyed turk.
And her child. What had become of the son she birthed? Sephiroth was he really the monster she dreamed about? Lucrecia did not need an answer to the question she knew what it was, but she didn't want to believe that from her womb came a monster.
No.. he was not the monster. Sephiroth was born an innocent child and she... she allowed her son to be the subject of his fathers experiment. Why was the world giving her another chance at life? Or did it have a twisted sense of humour that the crystal prison was not enough.
People didn't pay her much attention, one guy made an obnoxious low whistle which she ignored. Some muttered stuff about 'Hope's Scientists' and other things she couldn't under stand. Was Hope a person or a movement? Lucrecia ducked into the nearest alley and discarded her science coat, she didn't want any attention and she didn't want to be confused as part of a certain faction or group... she had no idea what was going on.
As daytime turned to night Lucrecia grew more wary. She had found a bench and decided it would be the best place to sleep for the time. It was under a canopy of another building structure. At first she began to drift off, and hopefully this was all just a very lucid dream, but the sound of snickering from far made her eyes flutter open and she sat up only to be met with two pairs of sinister looking eyes.
The men came into focus each one eyeing her hungrily. Lucrecia wanted to speak, to ask them for help... ask them about where she was, but the looks they gave her and the now potent smell of alcohol as they neared her was getting stronger and Lucrecia got up from the bench and edged away.
“What you think we do with this one mate?”
“I reckon... we give the little slut a test drive.”
Lucrecia didn't wait to hear anymore. Her hand went to her thigh and she was grateful her small katar was there. When she pulled it out and brandished it one of the guys eyes widened, but he could tell Lucrecia was inexperienced by the stance she took. He didn't hesitate to kick it out of her hand and in that one instant where her hand throbbed and the men were distracted by where the blade landed... she ran.
Lucrecia grabbed her katar and broke out in a full on run, but she didn't get far before turning a corner and being at a dead end. She was dizzy, she was tired and even when she tried to suck in a deep breath it wasn't enough. Her vision was blurred and her knee buckled... this was her punishment she was to be raped and killed and left to rot in this corner. No one knew who she was and no one would miss her... a fitting end for a monstrous beginning.
"Just... make sure you through my body far away... I don't want a child accidentally discovering me."
A tear trickled down her cheek even in her possibly last moments she thought about kids... because she was never allowed to raise her own.
Each man cackled in laughter as they began to casually approach her. She shut her eyes tight praying that it would be done and over soon...

With his ever present blue chocobo, Maqui once more looked down the weapon he was hand delivering to the client he had made it for. Of course, that client happened to be the Academy, who had wanted a testing of the weapon he was creating for them. And thus he was on his way to present the fine piece of weaponry toward them. Still able to be carried easily – and lightly at that since he’d built it with rarer substances straight out of the Mah’habara Subterra that a few researchers had found the last time they had been deep within the mines. Still, he had given this specific weapon the ability to shoot a blast ray that would decimate anything in the way. And all the side of a normal long ranged weapon. If that wasn’t efficient, he didn’t know what was. He’d started developing smaller versions as well of course, but those were still in the making.
“I bet Hope’ll like this little puppy, don’tcha think Cookie?” He was greeted by a ‘kweh’ and a peck to the top of the head, which just caused him to narrow his eyes in fake annoyance at the bird and wave him away with his hand. “Oh cut it out, would you? I’m not a chew toy you know!” Despite that, his bird didn’t seem to understand him and he had to swat the big bird away four more times before he got more distracted with attempting to steal cotton candy from a child. “Cookie! Cut it out, come over here.” The next moment he physically ran into the bird when it trotted in front of him and then stopped to get some attention. “Coo-…oh you silly bird you.” Reaching up, Maqui ruffled his feathers on the chest and then patted him. “Come on though, we’ve got a presentation to get to, you know? They probably won’t be too happy to be kept waitin-“
At that moment Maqui realized something wasn’t right. Cookie’s head snapped up and he started to dance on his feet, ruffling his feathers, throwing his head to the side, and making terrified clucks. “Cookie!” Jumping forward to try and snatch the reins that dangled from his chocobo’s head, Maqui was once more left chocobo-less when Cookie jumped to the side and more urgently called out. “Hey! Cooki-“ An instant later the blue bird took off, leaving a disgruntled Maqui to chase him. “Awwww Cookie come on! We’ve got a presentaaaaaaaaaaaation!” That didn’t seem to help, and so Maqui found himself dodging citizens and for the millionth time in his life chasing down his pet chocobo. Despite no other chocobos living freely in Academia, the citizens in most of the city had become quite used to this spectacle in front of them, and simply stood back to avoid being trampled by the two beings with far too much energy than they knew what to do with, often with smiles on their faces.
With a running leap, Maqui finally caught up with the chocobo right as the blue bird turned down an alley way and skidded to a halt. With his hands on the reins, Maqui tightened his grip and tried pulling his chocobo back and away. “Come ON Cookie! We’ve to-…” How his chocobo was acting seemed so weird that it cut Maqui off mid-sentence. “Alright, alriiight!” Tucking his newly made weapon under his armpit, Maqui hopped on the back of his chocobo and loosened the reins to allow him freedom to go, which he promptly did. Winding them around Academia for a bit, Maqui finally found himself at a dead end with-
“Hey!”
What was going on here?! In an instant he noticed the poor woman huddling in the back of the dead end, as well as the two men that were advancing on her. Turning his bird to the side, Maqui snapped his weapon up. His heart was pounding the same way it had when they were facing the soldiers in the Purge, but his look hardened into that of a man instead of the boy he normally acted. “Stop or I’ll shoot.” Despite still having his odd looking goggles on his head and appearing on a blue chocobo, Maqui meant what he said.
And he didn’t think anyone was tough enough to take what this gun had for firepower.
