How long had she been crystallized? She wasn't sure, but Lucrecia felt as Vincent thanked her and she could still remember the joy it brought to her heart; to know that she was able to do something right by giving Vincent back his life. His back was turned and once again Lucrecia allowed him to walk out of the cavern and out of her life... it was what she deserved.
Lucrecia would live for an eternity within this prison and reflect on all her wrongs. Her child that she couldn't save; even though Vincent had told her he was dead; she knew better she knew her visions were not dreams, but a reality and if she hadn't accepted Hojo none of that would have happened... she was just as bad as her former husband.
The silence had crept up on the cave once more and Lucrecia returned to her eternal slumber where she mentally tormented herself for all the pain and suffering she brought to the world. It was comforting to know that she couldn't hurt anyone here anymore, but it saddened her that she couldn't do anymore to help. It was why she was there in the first place as punishment, but also to keep herself from causing anymore damage.
Lucrecia was deep in sleep, but something odd happened. Lucrecia slowly opened her eyes, but she wasn't in the crystal cave anymore. Through the slit of her eyes she was greeted by the burning blaze of the sun and she had to bury her head back in her arms her eyes needed to adjust.
Chocolate brown eyes finally opened and it took her a few blinks to be able to pay attention to her surrounding. The ribbon in her hair unraveled and the bangs fell into her face keeping her from being able to see. Slowly did she realize that she was wet and upon surveying her surrounding she realized she was at a beach was she at Costa Del Sol? No, this place looked very different. Had the world changed that much since her slumber? And why was she here in the first place?
Lucrecia pushed herself up, but fell back down to the ground she was so weak and somewhat scared as her head turned from side to side confused praying she would see someone she would know, but only unfamiliar faces were seen. Some people were whispering, some where pointing and she even heard one say 'Another one of those foreign folk?' Why did they not question the fact that a woman appeared out of nowhere? Why wasn't she in her crystal anymore, in the prison she deserved to be in. It made no sense and while she had been lonely before at least she was in a familiar place. Perhaps she had died, but she didn't deserve such a bright and happy looking place.
Lucrecia pushed herself to stand this time successful and The people around her were dressed so differently and oddly and when a young child tugged at her coat she couldn't help but exclaim surprise. Realizing she hurt his feelings she crouched down low and smiled realizing the young child was returning her yellow hair ribbon. Taking it gently from him she ruffled his hair lightly and smiled warmly.
"Why thank you young man; well aren't you an absolute sweetheart."
The child blushed and said a small you're welcome, Lucrecia would seize this opportunity to ask the kid about where she was.
"Hey do you think you could help me out a bit?"
Lucrecia paused and waited for him to nod his head. In the distance Tifa could see a young man and woman lean forward towards them almost cautious that any sudden movement and Lucrecia would hurt their son.
"So where am I sweety? I think I might be lost."
'New Bodhum, you're one of those people from the other world right! Mommy said a lot of you people are crazy and will hurt me, but you look like a nice lady... are you a nice lady?'
It was funny how children could open up so much in so little time all you had to do was be nice to them. With this new piece of information Lucrecia now felt alone. Maybe he was a kid and didn't understand what he was saying, but something told her that he was telling her the full truth.
"I wont hurt you don't worry, but thank you, you're my little hero! Now let's take you to mom and dad alright?"
The child puffed out his He nodded once more and Lucrecia held his hand and guided him to his parents when close enough the child broke from her grasp and ran into his fathers arms and was already telling his father about how he was a hero; it warmed Lucrecia's heart and the man tipped his head in appreciation, the mother on the other hand stared at Lucrecia eyes narrowed... it almost felt as if this woman knew who she was, but Lucrecia knew that was impossible this woman was clearly a native of this world.
"That child you have; teach him animosity and he will grow to be no better than an animal. Teach him nobility and kindness and he will be a fine man."
Lucrecia turned to leave to wander aimlessly till she found someone or some means to imprison herself once more in her crystal, but what she told that woman was still in mind... if only she had been able to save her own sons soul...

LUCRECIA CRESCENT HEY THERE, THEY CALL ME LUCRECIA AND I'M CURRENTLY 24 YEARS OLD. I'M FROM THE WORLD OF GAIA WHERE I AM A SCIENTIST. I GO FOR GUYS Vincent AND I WILL THROW MY WEIGHT BEHIND CIVILIAN. ------------------------------------------------- Weapon: Lucrecia's weapon could be said to be her knowledge and her intelligence, but when it comes down to defending herself she does carry a concealable katar which she straps to her thigh, but Lucrecia in general would much rather be a tactician that a fighter.
Abilities: Superior Intelligence
Personality: Lucrecia Crescent lives a life of guilt. She blames herself for any mishap in her life and the lives of those around her and for this believes that she has no right to live life. Because of being brought back to Pulse her perspective has changed and now rather than try to destroy her life she wishes to improve the quality of others through her science.
What people do not know about Lucrecia is that she posses a heart of gold. Her guilt stems from a deep respect for humanity and other people which is showed through her kind words and gentle mannerism. Lucrecia puts everyone else over herself, but when it comes to science she is willing to make the greatest sacrifice; especially if it has the potential to improve the quality of life.
Lucrecia also has a darker side in a sense. When it comes to research there is no dark corner she is not willing to explore and look into. Sometimes she believes she has to look into the corrupted side of science to find the purity within the corruption. She is a firm believer that there is always good in anything and in anyone.
History: Lucrecia, once a Shinra scientist, worked as an assistant to Vincent's father, Grimoire Valentine. During the time spent with Grimoire, they discovered two Weapons developed by the Planet, both used as part as the Lifestream's emergency function. Together, Grimoire and Lucrecia discovered the cave where it was thought Chaos would awaken at the appointed time. Grimoire was killed in an attack by the newly discovered Chaos, and Lucrecia's research was discarded as pure nonsense. Later on, Lucrecia was appointed to work on the Jenova Project along with Gast Faremis and Professor Hojo. During this time, Vincent Valentine, a member of the Department of Administrative Research (which would later be known as the Turks), was assigned to supervise the project. Lucrecia immediately recognized Vincent as Grimoire's son, and was shocked that Shinra would assign the son of her deceased mentor to supervise her. In spite of this, she still warmly welcomed him, and even began spending time with him when the two were off work, although she kept the fact she even knew his father a secret. Over time, Vincent and Lucrecia seemed to have either become romantically involved, or close enough that they were near that point.
This all fell apart when Vincent found a document pulled up on Lucrecia's computer telling of her time working with Grimoire. When Vincent confronted Lucrecia and asked her why she never told him about this, she revealed to him she was the one responsible for his death. Vincent — not seeming to think Lucrecia was responsible as much as she does — attempted to counsel her. This attempt was in vain, as Lucrecia felt even more guilty for Grimoire's death than she did before. This put a strain on Vincent and Lucrecia's relationship, causing her to seek Hojo for comfort.
Lucrecia became romantically involved with Hojo and eventually married him. During this time, she became pregnant and agreed to use their unborn child as a test subject. Hojo injected both the pregnant Lucrecia and her fetus with Jenova cells, but the cells had an unexpected side effect; Lucrecia would have visions of her son, Sephiroth, and of the future atrocities he would commit. The visions were painful and Lucrecia often collapsed in pain, much to Vincent's despair.
When Vincent tried to confront Hojo about Lucrecia's condition, Hojo mortally shot him and used his corpse as an experiment, only to label him as a failure and discard him. Lucrecia, devastated with Vincent's death, used her knowledge about Chaos to resuscitate him by infusing pure Mako into his body. The procedure worked, as Vincent's body, due to Hojo's previous experiments, was strong enough to become a Chaos vessel. However, Chaos was completely out of control and only stopped when the Protomateria had a reaction to it. The Protomateria, which Grimoire had discovered and which Lucrecia theorized to have been created by the Planet "out of necessity as a means to control Chaos and prolong its own inevitable fate", had been in Lucrecia's laboratory. She put it inside Vincent's chest, and thus Vincent was able to control Chaos to a degree. Unfortunately, while it halted Vincent's decay, it did not resuscitate him.
At some point around this time she gave birth to Sephiroth, but the child was taken away without Lucrecia even being allowed to hold him. Hojo either left her, or she left him shortly afterward. Overcome with self-loath and sorrow, Lucrecia tried to kill herself, but not before she left her thesis about Chaos and Omega for Vincent, who was still unconscious. Thereafter, due to the Jenova cells in her body, Lucrecia was unable to truly die. She left her old life behind, seemingly vanishing without a trace. It is unknown where she went immediately following her desertion of Shinra, but she eventually ended up in the Crystal Cave, back where it all began. Years later, when the Planet is faced with destruction at the hands of her own son, Lucrecia is once again found by Vincent when he is traveling with Cloud's party. Attempting to approach her, Lucrecia warns Vincent to stay away from her. The events of what had happened with Vincent and Lucrecia are recounted for the rest of the party (and for the player) and Lucrecia goes on to say she felt so much guilt for all that she had done she wanted to disappear; she did not want to be with anyone and she wanted to die. Lucrecia tells Vincent she has been dreaming about Sephiroth a lot lately, and asks him if her son was still alive. Vincent, who does not have the heart to tell her of all the horrible things Sephiroth has done — and is planning to do — tells Lucrecia that Sephiroth is dead. Even though she never says it, she somehow knows Vincent lied.
She lingers on in the Crystal Cave until the events of Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. In a major event in Dirge of Cerberus, the unification of Lucrecia's data, it is speculated she had feelings for Vincent. This is made abundantly clear throughout the game, but even more so during the seemingly random words flashing across the screen, during which she says "Vincent" and "I loved..."
Following Omega's destruction, Vincent speaks to Lucrecia, thanking her and telling her she was the reason he survived. A tear can be seen rolling down Lucrecia's cheek as Vincent leaves the cave.
