[atrb=border,0,true][bg=eeeeee][atrb=width,500,true] OPEN THE DOOR OF TRUTH BECAUSE I'M HERE I'LL PROTECT YOU. WORDS 278 MUSE "Bright Stream" By Nana Mizuki TAGGED Jihl NOTES Sorry for the short post. Gladiolus leaned against the wall, |
[/color] waiting for his partner for this mission. Once again he was stuck playing babysitter and sent to look around this place. The place looked run down, and almost lifeless if at first glance. However, Gladiolus knew that it was all a rouse and PSICOM was all over this place. He could probably point out who in this place was PSICOM and who wasn't. After playing soldier for them all this time he learned how to differentiate a civilian and a member of the military. "Looks like my partner is late." Gladiolus sighed. He wondered why was he doing this again. It wasn't like he actually cared what happened to this place. Sure he liked to protect the civilians, but they were just using him as an errand boy. They agreed to this to help PSICOM so that in return they would help them get back home. It seemed like a simple plan but either that or just wandering around looking for clues. After all this time none of them have got and answers. So now he was just waiting, wondering who will his partner be this time. Usually they would try to keep him with one of the guys, mainly Prompto or Ignis, maybe even Noctis. However this is one of the few times that he was assigned a completely new partner. The sound of footsteps made him glance at the direction that the sound was coming from. He let out a smile at the person. "I see you've come, good." Gladiolus greeted. "Now then what's our mission this time?"[/div] TEMPLATE BY SAMARECARM OF OTE + BTN[/div] [/center] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]

Port Nexus…
While there was a good sized PSICOM presence in the city this place was not yet under PSICOM control but there were plans in motion to change that. That was why Jihl Nabaat had come here. There were preparations that had to be made, there were operations that needed to be completed and certain… people that needed to be terminated. For a while now the undercover PSICOM forces had been systematically removing key individuals in the city, rooting out l’Cie sympathizers, and blackmailing businesses who were pro l’Cie. Those missions were highly covert and the soldiers took great care to make the assassinations look like accidents, framed sympathizers for crimes and planted evidence to solidify the framings, and made the blackmailing appear to be legitimate business deals. Things were coming together but there was something that Jihl needed to see to herself.
It was a shipment of weapons, but not just any shipment, this shipment had top secret prototypes that could very well turn this conflict with the Academy in PSICOM’s favor. There would be a lot going on during the pickup of these weapons and Jihl would need someone else to keep an eye on things. She went over several personnel files and in the end she selected a man by the name of Gladiolus. She knew from his file that he was skilled in close combat and had also worked as a bodyguard. The commander thought that he would be ideal for assisting her in overseeing this transaction. Nabaat had forwarded him a messages telling him where they would meet up and telling him that he would have a partner but she did not tell him who his partner was or what the mission would be. She decided to brief him in person.
As she walked up to him he had apparently heard her approach as he looked over in her direction. She stopped a few feet away from him as he greeted her casually. [red]”I hardly think that that is the proper way to address you commanding officer. However, since this is the first time we have conversed I will excuse it and introduce myself. I am Colonel Jihl Nabaat, commander of PSICOM. Now on to the business at hand, you are to assist me in overseeing a shipment. The contents of which are top secret but I will say that the Academy, as well as other factions, may attempt to seize these items. I have read your file and know of your background as a bodyguard. You will lead the security teams while the transaction is being completed. I will not tolerate any breaches of security. If anyone tries to steal PSICOM property you will deal with it, permanently. Am I understood?”[/red]

[atrb=border,0,true][bg=eeeeee][atrb=width,500,true] OPEN THE DOOR OF TRUTH BECAUSE I'M HERE I'LL PROTECT YOU. WORDS 638 MUSE "IDentity" by Nami Tamaki TAGGED Jihl NOTES Glad and Jihl thread is a go! Gladiolus watched at the woman made her way towards him. |
[/color] If he remembered correctly that woman was...Jill? Jenny? Something close to it, he hasn't bothered to learn her names since he doesn't really see her often. But he did knew that she was higher rank than him, and that would be it. Her attitude was all Gladiolus needed to know that this would be a long, very long mission. He wished that one of the guys was with him. Maybe Prompto could flirt with her or something. As he head her explanation of why were they here in the first place Gladiolus wondered what sort of secrets were in those boxes. Maybe he could take a look at them. After all he was in PSICOM, well for the most part. He was treated like an outsider, him along with Noctis, Ignis, and Prompto. He was actually surprised that he was chosen to go along with this mission at all. Gladiolus figured that they would have asked someone high ranked for this kind of job. "Now on to the business at hand, you are to assist me in overseeing a shipment. The contents of which are top secret but I will say that the Academy, as well as other factions, may attempt to seize these items. I have read your file and know of your background as a bodyguard. You will lead the security teams while the transaction is being completed. I will not tolerate any breaches of security."
Gladiolus nodded, was there anything else that he could add to this situation? Not that he could think of, right now he was just a normal soldier. One that he was fighting for reasons unknown to him. In retrospect that seem like a stupid thing to do, to fight for a cause that he didn't know. However, he was going along for the ride to find a way to return his friends and himself back home. If that meant that he had to work for these people, then that is what he is going to do. "I am flattered ma'am." Gladiolus crossed his arms, he leaned back on the wall he was resting on. "All I have to do is give orders to your man to make sure they do their jobs correctly right?""If anyone tries to steal PSICOM property you will deal with it, permanently. Am I understood?”That was something that did not sit well with Gladiolus, but he had no room to complain. He was trapped doing whatever she wanted. So he really had no choice but comply. He let out a small sigh, his friendliness was gone. "I deal with them my way, I wont allow you to interfere even if you are my so call commander. I want to be clear on that."And just like that that his friendly attitude came back. He was sure that level of intimidation would not work on her but he let out his thoughts on this. He will deal with it his way, and nothing else. He may be playing lapdog for PSICOM but he is not loyal to them. He will play along for now, until Noctis decides something different. Then that would be the time when he makes his own choices. "Now, now, you worry too much." Gladiolus smiled, almost like the other face never really appeared. "I got this, just leave it to me ma'am."Gladiolus pushed himself off the wall and waited for Jihl to move along. He honestly didn't know where he was going so he would leave it to her. "Ready when you are Commander."[/div] TEMPLATE BY SAMARECARM OF OTE + BTN[/div] [/center] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]

Jihl looked at Gladiolus with neutral expression as he responded to her briefing and nodded when he asked if all he had to do was give the security teams their orders and make sure that they do their jobs the right way. However it was what he said next that she didn’t like very much at all. He would handle breaches of security his way, he didn’t care that Nabaat was his commanding officer.
The friendly demeanor that he portrayed when he first greeted her vanished when he said that but it had returned just as fast when he said that she worried too much and that he could handle it as well as saying that he was ready to go whenever she was. [red]”Well, aren’t you a bold one? You may be used to doing things your way in your previous post but I will not tolerate such behavior. You will follow your orders to the letter or you will be… dealt with. It is not up for discussion.”[/red]
With that Jihl began walking to the pick up point. After a bit of walking the pair arrived at a old looking warehouse. She knocked on the door three times and a small cover on the door slide to the side. The man on the other side of the door saw that it was Nabaat and he opened the door. Jihl walked in like she owned the place, which she did and addressed the man who opened the door. [red]”You do not need to search the man. He is with me.”[/red] The soldier nodded and waited for Gladiolus to enter and would shut the heavy door behind him when he did. As that was going on Jihl walked up to the foreman of the warehouse.
[red]”What’s the situation?”[/red] Jihl asked. The foreman saluted her then began speaking. “Colonel, we just got a call from the convoy. They are on schedule and will be arriving in ten minutes and we will be entering lockdown in five minutes.” Jihl nodded. [red]”Alright. Get your men ready to receive the shipment. The man who came in with me will be taking over the security. I will not tolerate any mistakes Captain.”[/red] The foreman saluted and responded with a solid “Yes Ma’am.” Then went about his business.
Nabaat then turned and walked back towards Gladiolus. [red]” The cargo will be arriving in ten minutes. I want the area locked down in five minutes.”[/red] With her orders given out Jihl walked over ot the loading docks to personally receive the cargo when it came in to the warehouse. She removed her baton from its place on her hip underneath her coat and swung it so it would extend and then began tapping it on the palm of her other hand. She mainly did this to appear a bit more intimidating than she already did. After all appearing like she would “punish” her soldiers without a second thought was an effective way of keeping them obedient. Not to mention that she paid well.
In just a few minutes the convoy would arrive…

[atrb=border,0,true][bg=eeeeee][atrb=width,500,true] OPEN THE DOOR OF TRUTH BECAUSE I'M HERE I'LL PROTECT YOU. WORDS 768 MUSE "Absolute Zero" By Stone Sour TAGGED Jihl NOTES Sorry this took so long. Gladiolus would be lying if he said that he was enjoying this job. |
[/color]That would be saying that Ignis would giggle like a schoolgirl whenever he got something done. He wasn't enjoying being with his commanding officer, of sorts. The way that Jihl Nabaat presented herself, that neutral look on her face even when he said that he would do things his way meant that she had plenty of time to practice to get it to perfection. Which Gladiolous was impressed by it, she had a great poker face. Which was dangerous, if he couldn't tell what she was thinking. He would have to thread with caution or he will be bitten by the end. ”Well, aren’t you a bold one? You may be used to doing things your way in your previous post but I will not tolerate such behavior. You will follow your orders to the letter or you will be… dealt with. It is not up for discussion.” "Yes ma'am," He waved dismissively. He was already used to PSICOM's ways that the threat from Jihl was not that much of a surprise. With what he was doing right now and what he would probably need to do later, it just meant that he had heard of it all. "I'll follow your orders to the letter." He smiled, it was a inner battle to Gladiolus. Even the most friendliest smiles could be the perfect poker faces. And that is something that Glad has mastered over the years. He needed to be optimistic, it was all for Noctis, to find a way to get him and the other home. He could deal with Commander Naabat for a few hours. "So is the place close by?"Glad followed Jihl to an abandoned warehouse. He stood behind her, an old habit as Noctis' bodyguard. He was on the job now unfortunately, so he had to protect her from any Academy members. He waited for the door to open and went in behind her. The guard at the door stopped him and was ready to search him. He raised an eyebrow but didn't move from where he was. They could search him all they want. They won't find his weapons that easily. ”You do not need to search the man. He is with me.”"Keep up the good work." Gladiolus grinned as he followed Jihl inside the warehouse. He still stay behind her, he wouldn't say that he didn't enjoy the view he had of Commander Nabaat. It was a pity that she was as cold as ice. He stood next to her and awaited for her and the leader of the warehouse to finish talking. He kept an ear on what they were saying but not fully paying attention. ” Alright. Get your men ready to receive the shipment. The man who came in with me will be taking over the security. I will not tolerate any mistakes Captain.” Gladiolus waved at the man as he left to get his men for the job. it would seem that he would get started as well. He kept waiting until Jihl turned around and looked at him. ”The cargo will be arriving in ten minutes. I want the area locked down in five minutes.” "Understood, commander." He mock saluted. It was better to get this job over and done. It would be better for the both of them. And that way they wouldn't have any problems with each other. He watched her walk to the loading docks. he stayed behind and looked around. He found a communicator and placed it on his ear. He took a deep breath and his face turned completely serious. "Alright men listen up, I want soldiers around the parameters, five men on the north and south side of the warehouse. Keep an eye on anything suspicious. If you see anything that might cause a problem with the cargo I want you to turn it back or take it down." Gladiolus started to walk to the loading docks, where Jihl was. "I want three men to be with me, More specifically a mage and a marksman. I want no mistakes. If you cannot handle it then call for back up. Do not engage with something that you can't handle. Over and out. " He stood next to Jihl. "The soldiers have been placed in their positions, we're locking down as wel speak commander Nabaat."[/div] TEMPLATE BY SAMARECARM OF OTE + BTN[/div] [/center] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]

After Jihl gave Gladiolus his orders he went to carry them out but not without saluting her in a rather sarcastic manner. Her expression remained neutral as he left. Once he was gone she returned her attention to the people working around her. They were all moving about in a quick and efficient manner and Jihl hoped that the rest of this transaction would run just as smoothly. A couple of minutes later Gladiolus returned and reported that the security teams were in place and that the warehouse was being locked down. [red]”Very good.”[/red] She responded simply.
Then the sound on an engine could be heard approaching. The convoy had finally arrived as about five large transport trucks filed into warehouse and then backed up against the loading dock that Jihl stood on. She put her baton away as the driver of the lead truck exited his vehicle and approached her. “Convoy 0-4 reporting in Colonel, no incidents to report while on route to this facility.” Then he turned around and began helping to unload the cargo. [red]Hmm…[/red] Jihl kept her gaze in the direction of there the man had come from.
That man… there was something off about him. First of all, he didn’t salute. That in itself was a red flag. Jihl’s uniform clearly identified her as a high ranking member of PSICOM. There was no reason to confuse her for a common grunt. Then there was the way he carried himself. He didn’t have the same cadences as the average PSICOM soldier. [red]”Gladiolus, I want you to investigate that soldier. I do not believe he is with PSICOM. Check for his identification. I will examine the other drivers.”[/red] With that Jihl walked off of the loading dock and around to the front of the trucks.
Each driver remained near the truck as part of standard security protocol so they were not hard to find. Jihl walked up to each other four drivers getting a salute from each one as she approached. She ordered them to produce their identification cards which they were all able to do. So there was only one driver in question. There was another problem though. No one person would dare try to steal an entire convoy alone. With that reasoning in mind, Jihl walked over to a control terminal and began typing. Soon after, heavy steel doors fell over every door and window of the warehouse.
There was the possibility that there could be more imposters in the ranks of soldiers in this warehouse and such an action as this might tip them off but she wasn’t about to let any intruders escape. Jihl stepped away from the terminal and as she walked back to the loading dock four Nightblade Pumas appeared around her. The four-legged creatures obediently followed their mistress. Once she was on the loading dock she spoke up. [red]”As of this moment we are in level 4 lockdown. Nobody leaves this building until I give the order. Anyone who tries to leave will meet a most unfortunate end.”[/red]
