N OWHERE TO RUN * SO LET'S JUST GET IT OVER ❚ WORDS 441 ❚ TAGS GABRANTH ❚ NOTES I do it all because I'm evil Amunet woke up hazily. It was dark and cold, but dry. At least it wasn't wet. She hated dampness. She wasn't sure where she was, but the darkness didn't bother her. It only took a few moments to adjust. Her golden colored eyes seemed to gleam in what little light there was in here. This wasn't like anywhere from where she was from. Whoever brought her here was going to pay once she got her hands on them. She stood up, brushing the dirt off of her skirt. There was a clinking sound, of metal tapping against metal. By the heft of her skirts she assumed that they didn't get to her weapons. The two ornate daggers were still there. There were also several sets of throwing knives. Well whoever her kidnapper was, was an idiot. She huffed, not seeing her staff. That was going to make her day suck. She formed a small bird, the largest she could manage without damaging her body too much, and had it sweep the area.
She grinned widely when it flew back, carrying the large staff. At least she still had this. The shadow-bird dropped the staff in her outstretched hand. With that the little thing dissipated back in the shadow. She gripped her ribs as the inevitable coughing fit hit her. She examined the floor carefully when it subsided. No blood. That was a plus. The amount of darkness she was submerged in helped ease the strain of forming her monsters without the staff. She gripped the wood tightly and pressed forward. It seemed to be an abandoned section of the tunnel system, though she could hear voices from a distance. They sounded garbled, like echoes bouncing off of rocks. Where the hell was she.
She growled, from the back of her throat. It echoed off the walls. She was grouchy. Where the hell was Calahan. She didn't like waking up without him around. At all. Especially not when she didn't know how she got here. Who in the world would kidnap her and not him? They could have separated them, but that would be a bad plan, not that kidnapping them in the first place was a good idea in the slightest. She wandered forward. Amunet wasn't sure if it was the way out, or just deeper into the caves. She figured that at any rate she'd find the end of the tunnel, or get too deep for her to be able to function. Maybe she would find the source of the voices, or maybe not. It was all a game of chances and she didn't like it. She much preferred chess. |

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,475,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] who am i to disagree? Gabranth was currently trying to find his way out of these caverns. He was lost, not that he would ever admit it to anyone. Currently he was trying to get acquainted with the land. Everything was so different from Ivalice, the forests and jungles were vast. He couldn't even imagine how far would they go, where would the ocean be. All that he could find from the few days that he traveled were jungle, jungle, and more jungle. Honestly he was getting sick of all this jungle, it was hot and humid. Though as judge he was trained to withstand the elements, no matter how annoying they might be.
When he found these caverns he figured they might lead to another part of this new world, just like Sochen Cave Palace led to from Tchita Uplands to Archades. It was worth a shot, all Gabranth could do was keep moving forward. He needed to find out what was he doing alive. How was that even possible, he died. He was sure that he died hearing his brother's reassuring words that he would take care of Larsa and House Solidor. He remembered that those words put him at ease and then it was all a blank. He couldn't remember anything after that. It was only when he woke up in the edges of this jungle like world that his memories became fragments.
"And Yet here I am, I am starting to despise the gods even more." Gabranth muttered under his breath. The dim lights that this cavern gave out was enough to allow him to see, even with his helm on. Gabranth continued to wear his helm, it was one of two things that were with him with when he woke up in this new world. "There seems to be no way out of this cave just yet."
Gabranth saw in the distance a woman who was checking her weapons for some reason. He had no reason to help her or worry about her. She seemed that she could handle herself just fine, either that or she was a reckless woman. Gabranth paid no mind to her as he got close then just walk away from her, he didn't need to do anything for her. This was not his world and he was not a Judge Magister at the moment.
With any luck he would be able to find a way out of this place, otherwise he could need to go back. Gabranth had a feeling that today would be one of those days that he was going to hate. He lightly shook his head and continued on his way.
