Reno knew there was pretty much nothing to be done about it, but he shifted countless times in his seat just to make sure. It was a major design flaw, and he couldn’t think of any remotely good reason why someone would overlook a huge mistake like this one. Finally, after a good two minutes of shifting, he finally lay sprawled disgustedly across the seat, disdain written all over his face. ”Don’t ya PSICOM guys know how to make a pilot’s seat feel like a recliner!?”, he called out to no one in particular, since there was no one on the chopper pad to hear it but Reno himself. Another grumble left his lips with him pushing himself forward in the seat in another vain attempt to avoid feeling like the stupid-ass hard seat was going to swallow him up into the middle of it. Shinra knew how to make their choppers comfortable. Reno could have slept – and sometimes, had slept, when he’d wanted to get away from problematic Turks, leeching women, or other issue – for hours in the cockpit of the chopper back in Gaia. If he tried to sleep in this hunk of junk, he probably would have woken up to his body split in half and half his neck gone. PSICOM didn’t have the right touch to build these things. They needed more women in their lives, or something.
Eh, maybe Reno would forget about how uncomfortable he was by the time he was in the sky, if he ever got in the sky. Since when had he ever been early for something that another Turk had been late for!? Or…maybe he’d had the time wrong altogether and had been late by the time he’d kept in his head but early for the actual time. Either way, Reno yanked the cell phone from his pocket and looked at the time, wondering when Teagan was gonna show up. He loved the girl, yeah, but someday she was gonna have to get some sense of responsibility in her life and start working as hard as Reno himself worked.
Nodding to himself at the thought, Reno tapped his fingers against the chopper’s stick to some unknown beat. Yeeeah, Teagan was alright regardless. No doubt she was something to look at, unlike most of the stone-faced, crabby old women that were walking around this place like they’d just as soon drink a glass full of lighter fluid as smile. Teagan could stand him up as long as she wanted to, though, even if he was kind of eager to get his hands all over this mission right now. Heck, he hadn’t kidnapped anyone since waaaay back in the day with Shinra. The company didn’t “do those kinds of things anymore.” Apparently PSICOM did, and Reno didn’t mind it one bit, especially if it gave him another chance to one-up those Academy guys who weren’t worth ten cents anyway. AVALANCHE had actually fought for something and had turned out pretty good once they got rid of that...one weird guy with the glasses, so Reno had done his job and put any personal opinions on the matter out of his mind. These Academics, though? Reno didn’t have oooone problem dragging their arrogant asses back to PSICOM and knocking them down a few pegs if he needed to. Then again, PSICOM had told him specifically to avoid being “too rough” with the person they were going to be kidnapping. Pfft, how Reno and Teagan handled the person was going to depend on how he reacted to them dragging him back to the chopper.
”Come ooooon, Teeeeeag,” Reno said aloud to the closed door that led out to the chopper pad, again shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
