Pravnoka was a lot louder than normal this morning it seemed. What, was the queen visiting the town? With his eyes opening up from his sleep, it took him a while to realize he was not in Pravnoka. Or Coneria. Or Melmond.... Okay, he was nowhere within Gaia! The technology was way too advanced for any of the cities, and this was just by looking at the streets and signs around the cities! And what was up with the clothes they wore? "Wait..." he started up, a random idea popping up in his head, "don't tell me I was about to be sold as a slave again!" Checking himself for his items, he checked everything off in his head. Gil, check. Dagger, check. Core.... core... check! he let out a sigh of relief, glad to have everything on hand. Now he just had to figure out where he was.
Getting up from where he sat, his eyes peered both ways before running off, bomb core in hand. One of the things he had to do first was to sell it, considering how unstable it could be. However, running with such an item in hand also draws attention, including one of the city guards. "Halt!" he called out to him, causing him to freeze. The guard was holding something like a crossbow, but was definitely not something he had seen before. If it was such a tool, running would prove useless anyways. With the guard walking up to him, he felt like he was getting an unusual stare from behind the helmet. However, after a moment, he held out his hand. "Kids should not be playing with something as dangerous as what you have there. You can easily lose a hand."
However, as instinct told him, he hold the core away from his and closer to his body, saying, "I am looking for a store to sell it to. I know what this is." The guard paused for a moment before pointing behind the kid. "If that's so, then why did you pass the stall?" Turning around, the small thief looked about, seeing no sign that indicated Items, Weapons, or Armors. If anything, he only saw a floating ball on the walkway. With the guard seeing his puzzled look, he sighed and said, "Cmon, let me show you," before guiding the kid over to the orb. Holding his hand out, the orb responded by releasing a wave of screens in front of him, each one reflecting a series of menus that the guard touched to move through different screens. With the ball soon opening up, he told the kid, "Place the item in here." Sure, he didn't want to follow the order of the adult, but to not seem suspicious, he followed along, placing the Bomb Core inside. There, the item vanished and was replaced by a small pile of coins. With the guard taking the coins, he held them out to the kid before he took it. "Now run along, and tell your parents not to have kids so such errands, alright?"
"Yes, sir," the thief replied, running off with his bounty of gil from the stolen core.
