[/div] We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more Blackness. That was all the young songstress could remember before she managed to begin trying to force open her tired eyes. They were so heavy that they only opened slightly at first, but after a few moments, she was able to pass the struggle to open them up completely. Her vision was made up of blurs of colors that all appeared to be dancing around her, and she couldn’t make heads of tails of the scenery. All she knew was that she was lying down on her back, barely feeling conscious. She flexed her fingers a few times to make sure she was able to move and then clutched onto the ground beneath her, grabbing hold of smooth strands of something that she could only make out to be grass. Her head was swimming with a billion questions of where she was and what had happened to her, but the more she wondered, the more strained her brain began to feel. The last thing she could remember was telling Shuyin that it was time for them to rest. So, could that be what this was? Was this death? She was unsure. Why would death leave her laying down in grass and take away the clarity or her vision? It just didn’t make sense. The young woman let out a groan of confusion. She closed her eyes and re-opened them a few times, each opening improving her sight until she was able to make out her surroundings.
“Where am I?”
Lenne spoke to herself, raising a hand to press against her forehead. The pain in her head made her feel like her skull was trying to crush her brain. Lenne slowly pushed against the ground with her free hand, raising her body upward into a sitting position. She brushed a strand of brown hair out of her eyes and looked over the area once more, hoping the new angle would bring her answers. She was disappointed. There was nothing put grass and flowers as far as her vision would stretch. The field she sat in was a stranger to her memories. Was this still Zanarkand? Was she even in Spira at all? Maybe her first prediction was correct then, maybe this was the afterlife. Confusion was swirling it’s self around in Lenne’s head, and she feared it was going to find it’s self a permanent resting space. Lenne argued with herself in her mind about the answer to the location of her whereabouts for another few minutes before deciding she needed to attempt to take some action. She forced herself up onto her feet and began to walk. Her entire body felt wobbly as she moved along, as if she had stopped using her limbs for a very long time. It made her feel weak and uncomfortable, as though she was fragile and could fall at any moment. The feelings reminded her of how glass dolls would feel if they were alive. Still, she pressed on, needing to find some answers. “Hello?!” Lenne called out to the distance, in case there was anyone at all who might be close enough to hear her. “Is anybody there?!”Fresh, cool air blew past Lenne’s face and brushed her long chunks of hair back over her shoulders, where it usually rested. She waited a few moments before calling out the same thing again. Much to her disliking, she was only answered by the silence of her surrounding environment. Was she all alone out here? Was death a sentence to solitude? Surely this couldn’t be how she was meant to live out eternity. It just didn’t make sense. She couldn’t have spent days of her life praying just to have it turn out like this. What a cruel fate being alone forever would be. “Hello?! Anybody?!” Lenne gave up walking and fell to her knees in disappointment. It was easy to tell the fear was beginning to swell up and cover her eyes. She couldn’t just sit here, dreaming the rest of eternity away, feeling the… Lenne’s train of thought was cut off when she heard the low rumble of her stomach, followed by the uncomfortable feeling that could only be remembered as hunger. The dead had no use for such a thing, which proved one thing to her, she was alive. She had no idea how it came to be, or even if it was what she wanted, but she was a breathing being again. It was different then her first return as a spirit. She could feel not only emotionally, but physically this time. That only left one question on her mind. What about Shuyin? If he didn’t experience this miraculous revival too, was life even worth dragging on past this point? She had convinced Shuyin to rest with her. This wasn’t what was supposed to happen. This just wasn't right! “ANYBODY?” Lenne called out again, louder than before, fighting to keep the wetness in her trembling brown eyes under control. [/div] Words? 843. Tags? None. Notes? here i go again, chasing the wind i don't know how it'll end TAG: Lenne Words: 836
ONE LAST THING: Nothing at all!
As much as Snow liked the feeling of helping out one of the lost people who’d been pulled into Gran Pulse for no reason and were currently wandering the expanses of places like Archylte in total confusion, he had to admit, the job could get pretty darn tedious at times. His fists made their way to impatiently prop on his hips as he impatiently raised his eyebrows at the small troupe of Academy researchers all huddled against the wind, fidgeting with a little device Snow didn’t really want to try to understand. All Snow knew was that the thing apparently helped find the people whom the Chaos had affected so they could be more easily found. Snow had a device for finding people, too. Two devices, even. He called them eyes, and as his eyes told him as he stood back and looked across what he could see of the Steppe, the devices were giving him readings that told him not a single person was around right now. ”Hey, guys? Don’t wanna rush you or anything, but we’re not helping anyone standing over a-“ One of them turned and gave Snow a glare that he was pretty sure could have cut through steel to cut Snow down instead. The hero raised his arms defensively, digressing. ”Alright, alright, I’ can be invisible.”
Snow retreated back to a small rise in the land and stood there, bringing his arms up across his chest and staring out towards the sporadic instances of monsters acting up across the Steppe. Snow still couldn’t believe it had been three years since he and the other l’Cie had been out on this huge part of Pulse, doing their best to avoid getting stepped on. For the world, it had been four hundred years, but aside from an occasional piece of manmade construction jutting into the sky miles away, Archylte hadn’t changed much at all. But man, everything else about Pulse had changed during that time. As crappy as things had been with Barthandelus pulling the strings back in what was now 0 AF, Snow thought even that old creep was a better alternative to this time-stopping Chaos brought on by Caius Ballad. Barthandelus had been a creep, but Ballad was a bully and a bastard – exactly the kind of guy that Snow had big problems with. It was the whole reason why the hero had decided he couldn’t just go back to New Bodhum. It had only taken Snow about a week for him to go to Hope and tell him he’d help out the Academy in whatever way he possibly could. And now, with PSICOM popping back up and Bhunivelze being settled and the integrity of his future wife’s world in danger…Snow had to do something to help, just like when he’d gone out in search of Lightning. His eyes slowly lowered to his forearm, where the whitened ghost of a l’Cie brand, like the one Fang had worn when he’d first met her, now sat. He wouldn’t be making any mistakes like the one that had gotten him branded as a l’Cie again. Some of what Noel had told him during their one encounter in the Sunleth Waterscape had gotten through to Snow, the hero could admit. If nothing else, he was going to make sure he didn’t go off and get a fal’Cie to make himself a slave again just so he could have the strength he needed. If Snow couldn’t do this as a human being, without having to worry Serah or any of his friends about what might happen to him, he’d need to ask for help…for one of the few times in his life.
”Villiers! We got it fixed.”
The voice of one of the researchers broke Snow from his thoughts and drew his eyes back towards them. ”Comin’!”, he yelled back, starting to turn before a tone on the wind caused him to stop suddenly and angle his ear against the current. Snow froze there a few seconds, long enough to draw the researcher’s impatience. ”Villiers! I said, we got it done! You were the-“ Snow brought a hand up to silence the man. ”No, wait. I think I heard someone…” Though he knew the other man made another complaint, Snow didn’t hear it. Instead, he caught the same tone again. If it wasn’t a female voice trying to cut through the combined sounds produced by the Steppe, someone could call Snow crazy. ”There’s a woman out here somewhere! You guys go on ahead. I’ll check it out.” Again, Snow ignored their protests and turned to jog off further into the Steppe, stretching his ear out again to hear for her one more time. Then, the voice came through, clear and more desperate than before. That was no trick of the wind on his ear. That was definitely a woman calling out somewhere nearby. His hands cupped to both sides of his mouth. ”Hey out there! If you can hear me, come towards my voice! “

[/div] We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more Everything felt like one horrible nightmare to Lenne at this point. She couldn't help but feel like she had no place in this world anymore. Over a thousand years had passed since her death. Everyone she had even known, loved, disliked, or cared about was now gone. She was practically an alien now. Her past life was something to be proud of. She was a wonderful songstress capable of entertaining large crowds of joyful people, and she was a decent summoner, still on her journey to become great. She had also managed to acquire an amazing and handsome blitzball star to stay by her side until her last breathes. She may have died young, but she had a meaningful life with no regrets. Having a second go at it was absolutely pointless. There was nothing else she needed to get out of living. Her meanings were long past lived out.
With a lot of effort, Lenne managed to fight off her approaching tears. She wasn't going to let herself spear out the waterworks until she managed to completely figure out what was going on here, and how her being alive was even possible. She was stronger then that, or at least, she hoped she was for the mean time. Lenne put her hand on her knee to push up and bring herself back onto her tired feet. It wasn't easy, but she managed to stand once more. She called out again, and much to her surprise, she heard a faint voice call back to her. At first, Lenne just stood there, staring at the grass below her boots. It took her brain a moment to actually register the call.
Was that a...? Lenne thought to herself.
She wondered if she was imaging it. She swore she hard heard someone basically signaling her in their direction. It sounded like it was the voice and typical tone of a man. The songstess really hoped her mind wasn‘t playing with her. She lifted her head up and looked in the direction she had heard the voice come from.
"Hello?" she called out at the top of her lungs again.
The emotionally beaten woman began to walk forward. She started off slow, but then her pace began to get faster and faster, working up the pace and pushing through the jelly like feeling to that she felt through out her legs. Soon, the summoner was sprinting in the direction of the voice that she had originally believed to be a man. She knew nothing about anything anymore, and all logic seemed to be fleeing from her mind. She wasn't even entirely sure she wasn't walking into a trap. For her own sake, she had to trust it. She didn't want to rot out in the middle of no where, scared and confused. That would be a fate worse then anything she might have coming for her.
Suddenly, Lenne’s sprint came to a halt and evened out into a walk. Who ever was running towards her was a silhouette to her eyes now. She took a deep breath, trying to make out the figure that she'd probably be meeting in her near future.
"Hello?" she said again, not quite yelling, but in a voice she felt would be audible to the man.
Her voice was practically trembling. This whole situation was insane to her, and she hoped this guy was going to have the answers she was looking for. If he didn't, she had no idea where she was going to turn. Everything was a mess. She wanted to return to her endless and peaceful slumber, where she felt she belonged.

here i go again, chasing the wind i don't know how it'll end TAG: Lenne Words: 427
ONE LAST THING: Not thrilled with the length, pretty happy with the content.
With concern that the person yelling could have turned up face-to-face with a monster instead of being simply lost, Snow did his best to figure out exactly where her calls were coming from. He couldn’t entirely make out what it was she was saying, but every time he stopped and angled his ear, the voices seemed to be coming nearer and nearer. ”Keep comin’! I think we’re close!”, Snow barked out again, hesitant to bolt towards his assumptions of her locations in the case his guess might have been wrong and he’d only end up farther away from him. At this point, it was obvious the Academy guys weren’t going to do too much to help him. He provided them a quick inspection over the shoulder to see them primarily refitting their little device or staring in his direction before Snow hopped off of a slightly upturned chunk of the ground and started looking for the girl out there again. Then, Snow caught a glance of her.
He squint his eyes against the sideways wind and stared at her a few seconds, noticing she looked pretty much like a civilian to him. To make sure that she saw him and didn’t head off in the other direction, Snow gave her one more call. ”Hey over there!” The answer she seemed to give in return wasn’t one of a woman in any shape to be doing any yelling, or walking, or much of anything. With uncertainty, he took a second glance over his shoulder to the Academy researchers he couldn’t see, knowing that if there was something genuinely wrong with the girl outside of exhaustion or confusion that they’d be more use than him, but instead of running back to get them, decided to rush his way over in the direction of the woman. Snow could do something even if he wasn’t anything close to a healer. Trying not to seem like a big problem and instead a big help as he trudged up, he slowed and eased his way over with some encouraging words. ”I know you probably have no idea what’s goin’ on if you’re not from here, but I’m here to help you if I can. That’s what the hero’s for, after all!” With a slight grin, he took a couple more steps to her, trying to look her over to make sure nothing was bleeding. That would be a pretty big problem. ”Anything hurting you? You’re alright to walk? We got a ship back here with some first aid stuff if you need it.”

[/div] We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more Keep comin’! I think we’re close! Those words were encouragement to her ears at the moment, because her mind set was in a giving up mood. Lenne was completely against being alive, but for some reason she had to keep pressing on with the hope that her lost lover might have come back too, where ever he was. She had to hang on to the fact that he wouldn't want her to give up. With that thought, Lenne pushed onward in the direction that the voice was coming from.
Hey over there! he called, and Lenne turned to look in his direction. Her eyes widened, suddenly intimidated by the tall male in her view. She didn't think a height so high was even possible for a human being to have. Was he even human? Lenne shook her head in attempts to wear off her sudden question. She didn't really want to know. If she did, it would just intimidate her more. This guy might have answers for her. That's what she needed more then anything as of this point, and she couldn't just throw her possible answer book out of the window. She just hoped this wasn't a trick and he wasn't sent from Bevelle to capture her, having planned her awakening or some crazy, terrible plan like that.
I know you probably have no idea what’s goin’ on if you’re not from here, but I’m here to help you if I can. That’s what the hero’s for, after all! With those words, she watched him come closer to her, and she took a few steps back. How would he know she might not have been from here? Did people randomly wake up here often? Perhaps this place was a world for the after-after life? Wow, that sounded insane. She immediately dismissed the thought.
"A hero?" she squinted at him. "Who exactly are you?"
He then asked her if anything was hurting, and she had to think about it for a moment. Her head was killing her, and her body felt like it had just woken up from a thousand years of sleeping, causing her limbs to feel all sorts of wobbly. Still, it was nothing she couldn't handle.
"I'm fine," she spoke, still looking at him in curiosity.
Lenne really wasn't sure if she could trust this guy, and because of that, she was extremely weary of going anywhere with him. Still, she wasn't sure exactly what other options she had. It was go with him or be rot away out here. Rotting wasn't the better option to her.
"But... I am lost. Where in Spira are we, if you don't mind me asking?"

TAGGED Lenne & Snow! WORDS 454 STATUS Finished
Things were so.. different here. She felt as if she was being pulled from place to place. Moving from ship to ship, to find something she was looking for. Every night she whistled and prayed, but nothing ever happened... She knew.. She would have to give up eventually. Her fingers tightened with a little bit more resolve, walking through the thicker expanse of wilderness she had seen around her. She had no idea where she was, all she could do was backtrack if she found nothing. She knew how she had gotten here, she just had no idea where she had to go. Something pulled her here. There was some purpose to this. That was the only thing that she could reflect upon. She figured out the names of the places as she went along. Her mind fought in agony, the pain was almost too much..
The youd yelling snapped Yuna back to reality. Who the hell would be yelling like that in the middle of this place? She moved slowly and silently. She heard gruff voices behind her, and she took off at a run. She slipped up a tree and climbed up high enough. She could see people moving through through this place. She had her own names for these places, after all she had no idea their real ones. She heard the woman's voice twinkle to her ear and she stopped dead, cold. The color drained from her face.
She quickly flipped down the tree, and walked up behind them. Staring in disbelief. "Lenne.." She breathed. This unlikely paradox was almost too much for her to handle. She ran her fingers through her blunt hair and pulled slightly. "Lenne.. how are you?" She took a few steps towards her. It was as if Snow didn't even exist at the moment. "I don't understand.." She hissed through clenched teeth. "Why are you here... Why am I here?" She finally let her heterocharamatic eyes flicker to the man standing rather tall there, people were under his command.. She shook her head lightly. "What is all of this.. How did you come to be.." She said slowly, enunciating each word perfectly. She already looked on edge, she already felt on edge. What more could happen here.. She had to immediately stop the thought that wanted to flash through her mind. That couldn't happen. He would never be there. Yuna really had no idea what was going on, but she found herself clutching the Zanarkand Abes charm around her chest. "Does anyone know what's happening here?" She seemed to plead her words. She just wanted to get out of this place... But she had a feeling she'd be stuck.

here i go again, chasing the wind i don't know how it'll end TAG: Lenne and Yuna Words: 666 >>
ONE LAST THING: I had muuuse finally!
”Snow Villiers,” came the hero’s proud response, as the woman asked him who he was. He shrugged a shoulder. ”And if you’re not from here, you’ll have no idea who I am, but I kind of do this saving people thing for a living.” Certain parties named Lightning would call it “being a hobo,” but as his future sister-in-law was nowhere around at the moment, Snow could make sure people appreciated that being a hero was definitely…something of a career. Heck, Hope was willing to pay him for helping out with these expeditions to search for lost newcomers even though Snow had volunteered, so he had a salary position right now! And…none of that actually mattered while he was standing here before this young woman who was probably lost beyond her own comprehension.
She did seem to be in okay shape, so Snow trusted her when she told him that she didn’t need any kind of medical attention. ”Alright, good deal.” Snow honestly wasn’t particularly sure where to take it from there. If she wasn’t diving at heading back to the ship with him or anything, he imagined she was probably pretty wary of all that was going on. Heck, how could he blame her for thinking it kind of weird for a guy twice her size to approach her in the middle of nowhere and offer help? He couldn’t, obviously, but it never hurt to ask himself questions. And after a couple of seconds, she added another question of her own. Spira? Snow paused a second with his hands folded over his chest, trying to remember if there should be anything called Spira on Gran Pulse. He was aware enough of the important parts of Pulse to know that if the girl really was from this planet, she wouldn’t use a term like Spira to refer to anything around. ”Now don’t get too worried about what I’m telling ya…”, Snow began, holding his hands up to her. ”…but you’re prooooobably not anywhere near Spira anymore. This planet’s Gran Pulse.” Snow braced himself for any kind of mental breakdowns that might happen from that revelation. People handled these sorts of things in different ways, and some ways were…a little wilder than others. Still, this woman seemed to be the pretty calm type, so he had hopes that she wouldn’t…uh, go nuts at his feet or anything.
Another voice brought his eyes curiously over his shoulder. For a few seconds, Snow thought one of the researchers was speaking to him and trying to convince him to come along with them again. Instead, the person he found was another girl with hair around the same color of the first woman’s. Sisters was his first thought. They looked enough alike that he could believe it, and the second girl didn’t seem to mind that a strange man was standing there at all. Well, it was obvious they both knew each other at least. Had he found two lost pilgrims for the price of one? It sure looked like it. Snow didn’t say anything until the second girl looked at him, studying a pair of…really unique eyes as he raised a hand. ”Hey there,” came his unassuming greeting, since he didn’t want to get in the middle of whatever the two were…attempting to discuss about their arrival here. That was, at least, until she gave what sounded like an open question. He stepped forward, more than prepared to try and explain. ”Something happened here, on this planet. Whatever it is, it’s making it so people from other…worlds? Dimensions? People from other places are being pulled here for no reason.” His eyes settled on the first girl, who sounded to be “Lenne,” again. ”I guess you both came from this Spira place at about the same time. I can’t remember us getting anyone else from Spira…but I think the guys that flew me out here can give you some more answers. I’m just the guy out here tryin’ to help people.”
