Whether it wanted to or not, a hapless village smack dab in the middle of the Archlyte Steppe was about to be graced with a certain darklord's royal presence. It wouldn't have been hard to identify her as an outsider, even if she'd entered purely dressed as a clavaat princess, or a dark tyrant. Historically, fantasy princesses and slightly armored rulers of the dark had been rather rare in Pulse. The fact that her outfit, and even hair and eye colors were split down the middle would have made her stand out from the crowd any worse if she'd dressed entirely in an avant-garde manner.
Sure, Mira could have easily blended in among the crowd in a short time. All she would have had to do would be take a quick look at Pulsian clothing, walk around the corner, cast a quick spell, and bam! She'd be a fairly typical looking blue-eyed, brown haired human girl who wouldn't look out of place at all; however, she didn't care to even try.
It wasn't that she didn't want to look common. If that had been her primary concern, then she'd have just picked up a magazine with pictures of the most expensive and fashionable haute couture in all of this world, walk around the corner once more, cast said spell, and she'd be the most fashionable person in this little village.
No, the reason was more along the lines of 'don't give a damn'. She was angry, she was confused, and she wanted answers. She was about to eat a slice of delicious cake in her tower, when something happened. Her memories were fuzzy, but next thing she knew, she had awoken in the middle of a landscape that didn't look a thing like her world's geography. Oddly enough, despite the Flying Darklord Tower being absolutely nowhere in sight, Mira could still feel the power of her Dark Crystal. Normally, she'd celebrate being able to overcome one of her limitations; however, she was so confused and angry, that even such a great silver lining seemed to be an insult, a taunt that the universe refused to explain itself to a being as great as herself.
She stomped through the village, growling every once in a while to let off some steam. Her costume, as well as her borderline tantrum, got her strange looks from people, and they certainly weren't helping. At any given moment, she was a hair's breadth a way from throwing a screaming, raging temper tantrum.
The village wouldn't have to worry. She wasn't so wrathful as to burn it to the ground over this tantrum, but she'd certainly break the eardrums, good moods, and patience of anyone within shouting distance.

He was currently heading towards a place called Academia, from what he got from Yuna that was a good place to get some answers. Right now he was lost in this world and he needs more concrete answers. As he made his way to the city he saved some people from some beasts that were harming the village he was in now. Before he knew it he was being pulled and thanked as an angel from the sky if he remembered correctly.
So now he was allowed to stay in this small village for now. Until he got his head together and can actually continue traveling to Academia. There was still some road left from what the villagers told him so he had to make haste. The faster he got information the better he would be. Once he got the gist of what was going on then the would be able to plan his next move. At least the villagers that he was saved were nice enough to lend him a room. As for food they were teaching him what to eat and what not to eat. He could hunt down food, that wouldn't be a problem. The villagers were kind and Angeal felt that the honorable thing to do would be helping them a bit before he left.
"It's a quiet day today as well." He let out a small smile. This peace and quiet, if anything maybe he could ask the villagers if he could stay here and just help them out in exchange for a place to live. They were curious about his wing and with the name of angel he was given some kindness. "Once I make my amends I should just live in a village like this."
This place reminded him of his home on Banora. The place was quiet and peaceful, now that he thought back, why did he give that up? It was almost perfect, and everyone in the village was kind just like them. There were always what ifs in Angeal's mind. He was trying to learn to let go of that past and continue moving forward.
His train of thought was interrupted when he heard soft growling and the stomping of feet not to far away from him. Someone was not having a good day, he opened his eyes and looked at the strange girl. She seemed different, given the fact that she looked like two completely different people. Angeal pushed himself off the tree and walked a few steps. His Mako eyes gave a soft glow for a second. "Don't take your anger out on these villagers please. They have done nothing wrong, if you want to snap then do it outside."
Angeal didn't care at the moment if the girl would snap at him. It wasn't the first time he dealt with kids so it wouldn't be too hard to deal with a single girl. |

Mira had continued to stomp along, trying to figure out who was responsible for her unplanned relocation. She was leaning towards blaming Fiona for the incident, given that she had been the one who had pulled that whole 'king's seal' trick on her that one time. As for the possible alternatives, Leo didn't seem all that mischevious, Tonbetty wouldn't have been so foolish as to tick her off so seriously, that Chime woman was too straight laced, Hugh Yurg was too serious and too old to consider. The only other person who she'd even remotely considered mischievous enough to want to do that was that one annoying selkie girl, Bel Dat. But unless the girl wanted to make off with her secrets or something, it would be pointless to get rid of her, and she didn't seem to be capable of any magic.
The village continued to infuriate her further, as she started to realize that this village had plenty of things that she had never seen before. Rather than making her curious, however, it only served to make her more angry instead. The universe had taunted her once more by showing her yet something else she couldn't explain.
Someone finally directly addressed Mira, and she quickly directed her attention towards him. It appeared to be some man. Well built, giant sword, probably some sort of goody-two shoes adventurer. Oddly, despite being a warrior, he wasn't exactly heavily armored. Had she been in a better mood, she might have amused herself by contemplating one of those tiny Lilty knights trying to wield a weapon like his Buster Sword; right now though, she was far too angry to think about something like that.
While it didn't have any particular hatred towards the ex-SOLDIER, she was clearly frustrated and confused, or more accurately, frustrated simply because she was so confused. It certainly helped his standing with her that he didn't belittle her in any way by making light of her situation. The overall reason was that he was just the first sap who talked to her; the soda can had been thoroughly shaken, and just happened to be pointed at poor Angeal.
Ignoring the fact that he hadn't even asked her what was wrong, she started shouting "Well I'll tell you what's wrong! Something happened, and it forced me out of my tower and to wherever we are, and I don't know who it was! This place doesn't even look like my home! What's going on!"

Even it she was confused there was no reason to take it out on others. In his eyes she was acting no better than a spoiled brat. He crossed his arms as he waited the response from her. She seemed really young, about 14 maybe 15 if he had to make a wild guess. He let his wing stretch a little before it got to its original position.
"Well I'll tell you what's wrong! Something happened, and it forced me out of my tower and to wherever we are, and I don't know who it was! This place doesn't even look like my home! What's going on!"
At least now he knew what was eating her. She was as lost as he was when he go to this new world. He knew that feeling of helplessness, a feeling that was still there. However even at such a state this young girl had to learn to be more in control of her emotions. His expression didn't change, he would have to give the many years as a SOLDIER for that. He had dealt with Genesis' tantrum, so this was nothing compared to that. And as much as he loved his old friend it was overbearing to deal with that kind of tantrums at times.
"Calm down," Angeal said in what Zack called his 'commanding voice.' "I know that you are confused and everything but that is no way to act in these types of situations." Angeal glanced at the villagers who were around them. "Throwing a tantrum and glaring at the people that might be able to help you is not something that you do. Especially if you are in a new world."
Angeal let out a small sigh and continued. "To keep this short from what I know this world is known as Gran Pulse. And as how you got here its a mystery since I'm not from this world either." Angeal walked back to the tree he was leaning on. It would be time for him to go hunt some beasts for food. It was his way to repay the village for what they have done. "That is basically all I know, so it should help with your confusion. Now will you calm down?"
Angeal had to wonder why did he always had to deal with tantrums. At least he had enough experience to deal with them. He wasn't as cheerful and comforting as his student was but he had to try... somewhat. |

Mira was even more annoyed once Angeal took a tone with her that sounded commanding. She’d never really encountered anyone, save her own father, who seemed to believe that anyone could give her an order. She did quiet down enough on his words to listen, since it at least seemed she was at least getting what she wanted out of Angeal in the first place. Clearly however, Mira was still seething will rage; at least for now though, it seemed to be bottled up.
Mira was a bit surprised, to say the least. It appeared that they were in a whole different world. The idea that Fiona could have been capable of pulling this off seemed to be night impossible at this point. She wasn’t even sure if her own dark crystal had the capacity to do that sort of thing. He seemed to call this world ‘Gran Pulse’. Unfortunately, Angeal didn’t seem to have many more answers. The bright side was that it least answered why this place seemed so different, both in technology and environment.
“Fine.” She grumbled. She hated to admit it, but Angeal had a pointed. This was probably not an issue that throwing a tantrum and yelling at people would solve. It was also clear to her than summoning a behemoth wouldn’t solve her problem either. Unfortunately, yelling and violence happened to be her two default options for solving her problems.
“So what the heck am I supposed to do now?” Mira mentioned, crossing her arms. Mira didn’t know exactly where to go from here. She wanted to go back home, though she didn’t know what she was supposed to do at this point. Unfortunately for Mira, she doubted that Angeal had a good answer for her. The guy seemed to be little less lost than she was. If she wasn’t so angry right now, Mira might even have even given something resembling an apology for yelling at him in the first place.

Angeal heard the young girl respond. At least she was calming down at bit. Who knows how he would be able to calm her down if she continued this tantrum any farther. With Genesis was easy since he was his childhood friend. But this girl was a total stranger, he wouldn't know how to calm her down is she snapped any farther. "Good, I'm glad that you are calming down now."
“So what the heck am I supposed to do now?”
"That is up to you I'm afraid." Angeal shrugged and placed his hand on his hip. "This new world is vast and I'm afraid that I don't really know the world well. I am heading to a place called Academia, a friend told me that I can find answers to everything that has happen to me so far." Angeal placed his hand on his chest, he could feel the strange tattoo he got from that large creature.
That vision that he got at the same time as his tattoo was what worried him the most, he needed to find someone who knew about this stuff. Right now the only clue he had was the vision and what Yuna said about finding this person named Hope. He still had a bit to go, he just need to keep moving that was all. "I'm sorry that I can't exactly help you, I am trying to find answers as well. Some of those answers I fear to hear but I need to hear them."
Angeal crossed his arms, waiting for some sort of response. It was almost time for him to go and hunt down some food. It was best to do it early so that the people can prepare it and they can eat. Angeal tried not to eat as much as he usually does. But being and ex-SOLDIER made him always hungry thanks to his high metabolism. "Are you going to introduce yourself little girl?" Angeal asked. "My name is Angeal by the way." |
