Angeal was sure that he was lost. Even after walking all the way through the dense jungle He ended up in a strange place once again. Whether it was a good thing or bad thing was still uncertain. He had found out two things while he was in this strange place. The first is that Materia doesn't exactly work like it should. Then again this wasn't Gaia so he wasn't that surprised. And it wasn't like he relied on Materia back home, but it wasn't much of a comfort when you were in the mist of battle.
After fighting through strange beasts he made it to two large doors. He looked up at the tower that was in front of him. That tower was enormous, who knows how long would it take to climb that thing! He could try flying but fighting beasts in the air wasn't such a good idea, especially since he didn't have much magic to work with. So all that was left was to climb that large tower and continue moving forward, there had to be a reason he was in this new world. there were so many unanswered questions. "There has to be a reason that I am alive." He said to himself. "Why me and not someone else?"
He pushed the large doors in front of him, trying to make sure that there were not beast running amok and waiting for him to attack. He looked around as he eneted the strange tower. Everything seem so ancient and at the same time more advanced than what he has seen back home. It was a strange mix but an interesting one for Angeal.
He glanced around and saw wheels at the base of the pillars. As he looked up he saw what it seem an endless floors. At the center there was an elevator awaiting for him, Angeal wondered if that thing even worked. He continued to admire the scenery when he head footsteps. He looked around and tried to figure out where was that person coming from. His wing extended and a few feather fell to the floor. "Show yourselves.". [/style] |

TAGGED: AngealWORDS 574--STATUS Finished Yuna had lost track of the hour. When she glanced up and saw how drastically the sun had changed its course, she suddenly stood up. This tower was amazing. She was trying to figure out just what it was. What kind of secrets it held. She knew machina fairly enough at least. She could tell certain things of the structure, but the mechanics seemed so alien to her. She wanted to know more. More about the reason why. Her slow footsteps resounding through the spacious canopy as high as the ceilings became. Her eyes darted wildly all of a sudden. Show yourselves. Came a soft growl from around the bend. The pillars were blocking her view and she slowly popped her head out. Her resolve formed in her eyes as she looked at the man across from her. She hadn't expected anyone to show up in a place like this. The place was dangerous.. But he looked like some kind of Military personnell. The way he was dressed reminded her of the soldiers from Spira she had seen, just not in such stylish clothing.
"I'm sorry if I startled you." Yuna said cautiously, her braid falling around the side of her shoulder as she slid out from behind the strange marbely pillar. "Are you a soldier?" She asked, she scanned the area quickly, making sure he hadn't brought more men with him. Was he after her? Why would he be? Well, she had to wonder, it's not like nothing strange like that hadn't happened before. She had, had to fight soldiers before. Many of them. But in this place, things weren't always so cookie cutter. She didn't know who was a friend, and who was a foe. She took a few more calculating steps. "How did you even find this place? It took me forever to find something out in this wilderness." She had been traveling like that before, so keeping track of where she was at she was fairly good at. Yuna had a lot of spare time on her hands after the defeat of Sin. Living on Besaid, she had figured out how to track the monsters. So she also knew how to track her own foot steps, so she knew where she was going. But this one seemed tired and drained of energy.
She took a few tentative steps toward him. "Are you injured?" Her brows slowly knit forward. Friend or foe be damned. If he was hurt she had her heart already set on healing him. Why couldn't she get passed that instinctive part of her. It was just ingrained inside of her so deeply, she just couldn't remove that aspect of herself. And she wasn't sure if she ever could.

The young woman took each step and Anegal's shoulders tensed and looked at the young woman. What was she doing here? What will she say? Those are some of the thoughts in his mind at the moment. He unconsciously took a step back as she got closer to him. Angeal had to force himself keep still. Even is she started a fight he wouldn't harm her, it was not honorable to hurt a woman.
"I'm sorry if I startled you."
"No its not that," Angeal shook his head. The young woman seemed friendly enough, at least for now. "I just had no idea that there was really someone else here besides me. I haven't ran into others in a while." Angeal sighed as he looked down at the couple feathers that had fallen to the floor, he had a distant look on his face for a second before looking at the young woman. "You can't be too careful in these areas."
"Are you a soldier?"
And there is was, well it wasn't anything new that he was asked that. His clothing hasn't changed since he came back from the dead. And he figured that his mannerisms were not exactly subtle when it came down to it. Still that was all in the past, its not like he is one right now. "No, at least not anymore I'm not." Angeal explained. "Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you okay?"
Angeal could feel her eyes on him, he quickly glanced back at his wing. Those two wings that were behind his back, marking what he was, a monster. The wings that held in so much burden of his past. Of everything that he had before he threw it away. How during his last moments his mind was being eaten away and gone mad from depression. And in the end he was the one who....
"How did you even find this place? It took me forever to find something out in this wilderness."
Angeal snapped out of his train of thought when the young woman asked that. Half of him was thankful that she interrupted him, because his thoughts were getting darker and darker. The other part... that one he was going to ignore for now. "I stumbled upon it by pure chance." Angeal answered. "I wanted to find some answers as to why I am here. So I started to journey at a single direction and I came across this tower."
Angeal looks around at tower, maybe there was a secret or a clue as to why he was brought to life. If it is then he'll find it, he has too or else he would go mad with not knowing the reason of why he is here. Then a second question popped into his mind. "Why are you here?" He asked. "This place is dangerous for someone to explore it on their own."
Angeal felt the waves of exhaustion hit him now. It has been days since he last fell asleep. Even with SOLDIER enhancements he needed sleep but it just usually never came to him. However he wasn't going to let himself collapse in front of this young woman. Most of the time his thoughts were focused on the constant danger this world is. He could just sleep eventually, however right now? He had to stay alert.
"Are you injured?"
"Hmm?" He lightly shook his head. "No I am not but thank you for your concern." At the very least his manners were still there. Though he had to wonder if there were more people like her. People who would help others no matter if they were friend or foe. His military mindset is screaming that is something a naive person would do but his conscience and heart were telling him that it was a good thing. "I am just a little tired that's all."
He turned his back on the young woman and looked at the inside of the tower. Even with his eyes he couldn't see the top. So he had a lot of floors to explore it seems. "How long have you been exploring this tower? Did you find anything....." Angeal paused for a second. "I don't think you told me your name." [/style] |

TAGGED: AngealWORDS 447--STATUS Finished She smiled sadly for a moment. She was taken aback, but why wouldn't this happen. She was no longer in Spira. Nobody knew of her name, her face, nothing about her. She could start over and be someone completely different, but then there was that pesky sweetness about her that she just couldn't curb. A soft smile lifted onto her lips. "It is pretty deserted in here... I guess I should be more worried about you showing up. In my experience, that's when bad things tend to happen. But there I go again. Being.. myself." She said with a small frown, her bottom lip poking out a bit.
She glanced at the strange pattern on the floors. Her eyes flickering softly behind her chocolate locks. "Well I would imagine if you were a threat to me, you would have already attacked." She said, the mood and his somber tone made her sad. So she wanted to balance that out. She looked up at him with a fiery grin. "I don't know if I believe in pure chance!" She said, trying to provoke the way he was uncomfortable, and to lighten him up. She skipped over to him, faster than he could truly get away, though she knew he might try and stumble back again. "No injuries, huh? You look mighty tired!" She said with a steely gaze.
"I doubt they have any comfortable rooms in here to rest. I can try and replenish your energy...? I'm not sure if that is what it is created for, but it allowed us to be able to keep on going when we thought we were done for." Again, she was thinking this was just like Spira. Her eyes softened a bit. "That was a while ago. Since I ended up.. here." She said opening up her arms to showcase what 'here' meant. This world. "This place is screwy.. Are you from here? This 'Gran Pulse' as they call it?"
She chuckled in embarrassment for a moment. "Two days, and all I found was some very strange looking corridors with some off looking statues.. If you do something specific, it seems the pathway becomes more clear.. but it sounds like monsters.." She said, shaking her head back and forth. "I am so sorry. I just forget.. sometimes. I am Yuna. You are?"

I guess I should be more worried about you showing up. In my experience, that's when bad things tend to happen. But there I go again. Being.. myself."
Angeal was confused when the young woman said that. It didn't make sense, it was almost like she described herself as a menace just by being around her. Her voice when she said that seem so sad, seems that that this young woman has been through a lot. Though her soft smile told him everything that he needed to know, she is a strong willed woman. Whatever troubles she surpassed made her to what she is right now. However, Angeal had no right to go into the past of others. "Trust me, no matter what happens I most likely deserve it. Not after everything I did."
"Well I would imagine if you were a threat to me, you would have already attacked."
"Maybe, though my honor wouldn't let me hurt a young woman such a yourself. So there is nothing to worry. Besides even with this wings of a monster I am still in control." Angeal's tone was heavy, each word held the burden that he placed on himself. Even if that man tried to pull him out of that rut it was no use. He lightly shook his head and continued and forced smile. "But it is good that you focus on your surroundings." He nodded.
"I don't know if I believe in pure chance!" Angeal lightly jumped at the outburst that the young lady made. It was strange on how she changed her moods. It was nice really and Angeal was glad that she did. He didn't know what would have said if this kept going. he let out a small smile and continued listening to the young woman. "No injuries, huh? You look mighty tired!"
"Maybe just a tad," Angeal answered, his voice seemed lighter compared to a few seconds before. "I'll be fine after I rest soon." Thought he said that there wasn't a city around this place, not one he found anyway. So he would just have to continue traveling and napping until he did. That is when he will let down his guard and sleep fully. "Please dont worry about me."
"I doubt they have any comfortable rooms in here to rest. I can try and replenish your energy...? I'm not sure if that is what it is created for, but it allowed us to be able to keep on going when we thought we were done for."
"No, no" Angeal shook his head. "I couldn't ask you to do that for me. I used to be a SOLDIER before I came to this place. A few weeks without proper rest is nothing to compare to what has happened before." Angeal had to force himself to be still when the young woman approached him. He had to keep still. "You might need that energy more than I do."
"That was a while ago. Since I ended up.. here. This place is screwy.. Are you from here? This 'Gran Pulse' as they call it?"
So thing young Lady wasn't from this world either, they were two lost souls as an old friend would put it. At least he knew that he wasn't alone in this. He had found someone else who was lost and wanted some answers. And Angeal wasn't the type of person to leave someone on their own. His honor wouldn't allow him to. "No I'm not, I'm also from another place far from here. And I am looking for the reason why I am on this world. Or maybe why am I alive again."
Angeal cursed himself for saying that. He was supposed to keep that a secret. That wasn't something that was normal, after all the dead are supposed to be dead. Yet, here he was, alive and well. "Please ignore that, I didn't mean it."
"I am so sorry. I just forget.. sometimes. I am Yuna. You are?"
"My name is Angeal Hewley, it is a pleasure to meet you Yuna." Angeal nodded. "Though I wish it would have been in better circumstances, since neither of us know nothing about this world."
Angeal listened to what Yuna said about what she found in this tower. It all seem like one giant maze to him. But nothing useful on how they got here. Or how he came back from the dead. "Have you explored to the top? Also how bad are the beasts roaming around the tower, maybe I can...." Angeal spread his wing, looking down for a moment. "fly us there." He muttered. It was a necessity to use it right now. [/style] |

Yuna's frown creased slowly across her features. She wasn't sure why some people were so difficult sometimes. "Look, I appreciate you looking out for me. But I've rested, I am actually quite strong. Obviously, I made it here in one piece." She said with a re-assuring smile. She didn't want to scare him. "Well, around here.. There may be times where strong women attack you unfortunately. But I'm not that type. I guess your lucky your with me then, if you can't kill a female threat, I sure can." She muttered softly. They all had to make hard choices in life. She never relished killing anything. But she knew that sometimes it happened.
She took a few steps and spun around with a blank stare. "Did you call yourself a monster? Why would you say you are that?" She queried, her one blue eye twinkled like night, the the green sparkled like an emerald. She had never heard anyone call themselves a monster, not that she couldn't have done so either. She'd seen her fair share of monstrous people in Spira. But he seemed rather docile, an ex soldier, she just didn't or couldn't connect the dots on the answer why, at least with herself.
Her eyes widened slowly. "So your not supposed to be alive.. I have met another that was supposed to be passed on as well. I have heard a few things if you are interested in knowing about..? Perhaps, I can help you a little bit." She bit her lip lightly. She didn't know how dangerous it was to be speaking about this to everyone. But she couldn't not help him, he seemed to lost without some kind of information. She was lucky she had met Maqui. Things were starting to become clearer now. She didn't know if she could trust either side... For the time being.
Fly?? She glanced at his wing. "Before we do that I do think you should let me try and help you a bit. I'm sure there is some kind of magic that can help restore you. I don't know if everyone is the same here... If magic works for everyone. But I imagine it should be." She slowly frowned looking back at him. "They get marginally stronger each time you get through the passages. But I've already killed up to those floors... Do you really want to go all the way to the top?" She asked, she locked her hands behind her back and stood up on her tip toes lightly, before shuffling a few steps forward, glancing back up towards the highest part of the tower again.

But I've rested, I am actually quite strong. Obviously, I made it here in one piece."
"I know that it is just that I don't want you to waste your energy on me." Angeal reasoned. He looked up the tower to see once again. Part of him was telling him to accept the help that Yuna was offering to him. That he shouldn't be a stubborn idiot and let his guilt get the best of him. While another part was telling him that he should just leave Yuna alone and get away from her. That he should continue traveling alone, which is how he'll end up. "I'm sure you're a capable fighter Yuna, I have no doubt about that. It is best to take care of yourself at first."
"Well, around here.. There may be times where strong women attack you unfortunately. But I'm not that type. I guess your lucky your with me then, if you can't kill a female threat, I sure can."
"Lucky to be with you?" Angeal asked. "Does this mean you're going to stick around be for a bit?" Angeal couldn't think back to the last time that he was with someone else of the opposite sex. Not that he had perverse thoughts about her. It was just.... different for him to be around a woman. One that could fight to be exact. It just felt a bit foreign to him. "I can defend and deflect attacks but I don't think I can't inflict the finishing blow on a woman."
It was funny that he still thought that way, even after all this time and all he has been through. He had his morals with whatever pride and honor that was still within him. It wasn't much but at this point it wasn't like he could be picky about these things. Maybe his job was in this world. He had come here for a reason, he just need to find it.
"Did you call yourself a monster? Why would you say you are that?"
Angeal figured that she would ask that question eventually. It wasn't that he wanted anyone to know but a single slip of the tongue had landed him into this mess, one that he cannot get out. He let out a small sigh and began to explain. "It is that I am not human, this thing." As he said those words he glanced behind him, looking at the wing. "Was made though experimentation. Its not something that is supposed to be there. I have done so many thing that I don't know if I can repent for them. All I can do as a monster is destroy."
Angeal looked down and continued. "I even betrayed the single person that believed in me to the end. That I made him do something that should have been left in the dark." He clenched his gloved fist. "That is why I am a monster, one that is not suppose to exist."
"So your not supposed to be alive.. I have met another that was supposed to be passed on as well. I have heard a few things if you are interested in knowing about..? Perhaps, I can help you a little bit."
Angeal looked at the uncertainty that was on her face. Like she wasn't sure if she should say what she was about to say. He let out a small sigh and awkwardly placed his hand on top of her head, gently patting it. "Its alright if you don't want to tell me, it is not like this is the first time I am in the dark about things. As I've learned in the pass I'll learn about it in time. Whether I want to or not." He removed his hand and took a step back. "You don't have to force yourself for my sake. Even if it takes a little more time I'll find out why I am here and why I am alive once again."
"Before we do that I do think you should let me try and help you a bit. I'm sure there is some kind of magic that can help restore you. I don't know if everyone is the same here... If magic works for everyone. But I imagine it should be."
"You can use magic?" Angeal asked, since he had the problem or not being able to use magic. Then again his magic abilities came from the Lifestream, an external source. There were rare times that the spell did work but nothing that could be used in combat. "Are you sure?" He asked, he didn't her to expand her energy on his behalf. "I'm sure once I find a city I can rest properly. As for magic in general, I'm not sure how your magic system works in your world or in this world but where I come from it comes from the Lifestream, an external source. So I don't have the ability to use magic at the moment."
Angeal raised his right arm and showed her his bracer on it. The bracer had five orbs that shined in the light of this tower. One orb was dark green, two spheres were light green, one sphere was yellow-green, and the last sphere was pale yellow. Angeal wondered if he should throw away his bracer or just give it to Yuna since it was useless to him at the moment. "This was my magic source, nothing more than an accessory now. I get the feeling that you are not going to leave it be and continue to insist on helping me with your magic... so if you want to then do as you must."
"They get marginally stronger each time you get through the passages. But I've already killed up to those floors... Do you really want to go all the way to the top?"
Angeal looked at the tall tower and all the floors that it had. He didn't have more to think about, he was pretty much traveling in one direction and this tower was the end of the line he would have guessed. "I don't know, there is not much I can do at the moment. I lost my home, my friends, my honor, I really have nothing left to do or to go. This tower is the last place that I can go on. After I came here, I guess there isn't much left for me. A man who should have never been brought back to life. That is all I am." He let out a small smile. "Do you think that it is worth going to the top of the tower?" |

TAGGED: Angeal!WORDS 622--STATUS Finished (Im so sorry its so late! dont kill me!) "Clever word. Waste. I don't waste my time on people. I give it to them willingly." She muttered softly, she already knew she was going to help him. It was just a matter of when. She didn't want him to frantically try and attack her though, hurting him was not part of her plan. She took a few steps, seemingly thinking about something. She heard his words and she nodded at them. "Yeah, looks like you'll be stuck with me for a little bit." She pointed up. "If you fly it seems like you can get a straight shot to the top. Doesn't seem like it was build for flight access. Unless you were a single human. I'm sure they didn't quite count on that." She bit her lip lightly. She spun around to face him again. A curl of a smile on her lips.
"Who cares if you are not human. Trust me, I have met some fabulous creatures." A soft pang hit her heart when she thought of Kimahri. "Some of them would have died for me. Almost did. So, I don't want to hear negative talk like you are some bad person or monster for that matter." She left that note with a little sigh. Her brain wanted to wander, but she wouldn't let that happen. She had things to take care of.
Yuna let her short hair flutter back and forth, as she shook her head no. "It's not that.. It's just, I don't even know that much yet. It seems this "Chaos" whatever that is.. Is corrupting other worlds. That's why I am here. I suppose that's why you are here." She let out a blustery sigh, blowing her hair up out of her eyes. "Whatever it is.. It's not friendly." She frowned slightly. "Magic is one of the abilities I was blessed with I guess you can say. I thought everyone was capable. But apparently not." It was shocking to her that magic seemed to be out of the ordinary for most people. "If I had Valefore I would be able to fly up there myself." She said with a darkened look. She wanted her summons back. She had only gotten one, capable of summoning. The others it was like this Chaos shattered their bonds.
She walked up to him, calmly. She placed her hand on his chest, and softly Shhh him. The green glow faintly erupted around her. At the task at hand, she willed the magic to cure his ails, anything that seemingly was wrong with him. She wanted to leave him feeling more vigorous. She smiled, as she slowly dropped her hand. "So, do you feel any better?" She murmured, looking up at him. She did glance over her shoulder. "If you are, I think our best shot is to go to the top. If your up for it." She said with a very Yuna like bright smile. Some things just never change.

She was stubborn in wanting to help him. No matter what he said to her she would find a way to say something so that she could keep insisting on healing him. Now he didn't have a choice in the matter and it wasn't like he could say no to her. So he stopped trying to deter her away from wanting to heal him and just waited when she did it.
"If you fly it seems like you can get a straight shot to the top. Doesn't seem like it was build for flight access. Unless you were a single human. I'm sure they didn't quite count on that."
"So it seems, if we cant get to the top floor from here then we'll find a way on the top." Angeal nodded in agreement. He wanted to see the top of this tower, even if there was nothing there he had to see it. Looking at the sky, he wants to be free but he can't. It was an never ending cycle for him. At least it would be a nice start on his journey to who knows where. "At least we can see the entire landscape from the top floor of this tower."
"Who cares if you are not human. Trust me, I have met some fabulous creatures. Some of them would have died for me. Almost did. So, I don't want to hear negative talk like you are some bad person or monster for that matter."
"I'm sure that you met several creatures that would defend you through thick and thin. Yet I am not like that Yuna, I was supposed to be human. I was brought up as such but then I was told that I was nothing but a monster, one that destroys all." Angeal let out a small sigh, "Didn't help that my mother willingly went through with it and then committed suicide because I brought her shame. I never really go a say if I wanted to be an experiment for the sake of science. Nothing but a fools dream."
"It's not that.. It's just, I don't even know that much yet. It seems this "Chaos" whatever that is.. Is corrupting other worlds. That's why I am here. I suppose that's why you are here." Angeal looked at Yuna shaking her head. At least she was kinder than others. "Whatever it is.. It's not friendly."
"Is that all you know about this Chaos?" Angeal asked, now he was getting somewhere. If he wasn't going to receive info on how he was brought to life, then information about this world would also help. Angeal knows that he can't be greedy with information. So he'll take what he could get. "That might be a possible reason why you are here, but me? Not so much. The dead shouldn't come to life and yet here I am."
"Magic is one of the abilities I was blessed with I guess you can say. I thought everyone was capable. But apparently not."
"I see," Angeal nodded. So in her world magic came from the caster. It was so different than Gaia, where magic was dependent on Materia, an external source. Maybe he could learn to use magic on his own like she says she can one day. For now he will do with what he has. "Everyone has their special skills, yours is magic and mine is swordplay or hand to hand combat."
Angeal listened to Yuna as she talked about her Valefor, he wasn't sure what it was but it had the ability to fly. He was about to say something else when Yuna placed her hand on his chest. He could feel energy flowing into him. It was strangely warm and gentle. He could feel his aches and pains going away. He could even feel the pain from his scar on his abdomen lighten until he felt only a light tingle on it.
"So, do you feel any better? If you are, I think our best shot is to go to the top. If your up for it."
Angeal saw Yuna looking at his shoulder, he closed his eyes for a second before opening them and a light glow radiated from them. He let out a small smile and nodded. "Yes I feel so much better, thank you for the cure."
He took Yuna and wrapped his arms around her, he needed to keep a very secure grip on her, he didn't want to drop her by accident while he was flying them both to the sky. Angeal looked at Yuna then looked to the sky. "Hang on tight Yuna, this might be a little bumpy."
With those words in mind Angeal spread his wing and with a small jump he was off. He could feel himself flying faster than before. He guessed that he really needed that healing from Yuna. He was thankful for it but embarrassed that he couldn't give her anything back. "So this is your first time that you are flying like this?"

TAGGED: Angeal WORDS 650--STATUS Finished Yuna was just being her normal self. She was a helper of the people, anyone who was less fotunate, or injured. She would most definitely help. But things happened when someone healed another person. It was like an enlightenment so close to the casters soul, it was almost like catching a glimpse of the kind of person that you are. And catching a glimpse of Angeal was very strange indeed. Imagining the kind of pain and tradgedy that he had been through. No wonder he was the way thhat he was. She could father that in just a few moment grasp. Mainly it was a Summoners friend, knowing your friend or foe. When battling something like Sin, you had to keep your head about you..
When he started talking about how he was a monster again. Even though she understood what he was getting at. She couldn't help but disagree with him. Intensely. Her brows furrrowed together slowly. "You have to see that those people were just lying to you, Angeal? There was no truth in that. I saw... I saw deeper. Your no monster. It sounds like propaganda used by some sort of government facility. I saw all kinds of things like that. It's just a scare tactic. So you will stay in line." She gripped his shirt. She didn't know how it was possible that she was so moved by him. She wanted to just get him out of his own head. She shook him and slowly glared. "Don't give into such things. Please. You are better than that." Her eyes, one blue, one green, sparkled up at him. So much emotion just in one stare. She didn't want to believe that he actually thought in such things. "I know many different kinds of monsters, people, real people who do horriffic things, are monsters." She murmured, she let her arms dropped. She was quite sad now.
"What I know of Chaos is very little. I was told that it took over several worlds, destroyed them, and is sending people over here, even dead people. Lenne, who has been dead for a long time, my somewhat... re-incarnation.., is here and alive. So I seriously doubt it's just you that's alive." She said with a small sigh, and a purse to her lips. "That's about what I know." She said with a small huff. "I am trying to figuure out more as I go. I know who to go to. They said to talk to Hope Estheim. That's what I plan to do." She said, at least she had a next step. She didn't mind it when his arms wrapped around him. She hadn't been this close to a guy, since Tidus. Her eyes flickered, she wanted to see the sighs as he flew them. A rare smile lit up on her face as well. The lightness coming back slowly.
"Besides Valefore." She said with slight ease. She laughed freely, this felt amazingly good. "I am glad you are feeling better. That makes me happy. Helping others. But magic isn't only my specialty. I specialize in fire arms as well. Among a few other things." She said coyly. She didn't want to seem just like a mage. That had its ups and downs. But she actually had learned how to fight. She was quite proud of that fact.

He didn't mean for this to happen. She was only just a stranger, someone that didn't know him. So why was she so upset from what he said. He guessed that any human would be worried from that kind of talk. Yet Angeal didn't feel the right to have someone worry about him.
"You have to see that those people were just lying to you, Angeal? There was no truth in that. I saw... I saw deeper. Your no monster. It sounds like propaganda used by some sort of government facility. I saw all kinds of things like that. It's just a scare tactic. So you will stay in line."
Angeal looked down he was starting to feel like a kid getting scolded. Somewhere in his mind he knew that Yuna had a point. That Hollinder had said those things, that he was a perfect being. Those words.... 'you're no monster', they were so familiar. This was the second time he had heard those words. Yet it was hard to believe that, he made things difficult for the people who cared for him. He couldn't say a word as he continued to listen to Yuna's words.
"Don't give into such things. Please. You are better than that." Angeal looked down at Yuna's hand, she had a tight grip on his shirt. He looked at her eyes, how they were filled with emotion. Angeal couldn't look away, he couldn't just tell her that she was wrong. That he was no better than the ones in the dark. He just couldn't do it, it would be an insult to her if he did. He won't be doing that again, he did it once with Zack. He will make sure that no one else worries for him, not again. "I know many different kinds of monsters, people, real people who do horrific things, are monsters."
Angeal took a step and placed his gloved hand on her head. gently patting it. As like a father or a brother would do to a daughter or sister. He couldn't just ignore this, she pulled his heartstrings in such a short time. He let out a smile as he looked down at Yuna. "Thanks Yuna."
Angeal really didn't know what else to say. What could he say to that, he just couldn't tell her no. It was just something that he couldn't do. Yuna just made him feel even more guilty and if he said anything that made he sad he would feel worse. "Why do you feel sad for someone that you just met?" Angeal couldn't help but ask that question. "Anyone else would have just ignored me and moved on."
"What I know of Chaos is very little. I was told that it took over several worlds, destroyed them, and is sending people over here, even dead people. Lenne, who has been dead for a long time, my somewhat... re-incarnation.., is here and alive. So I seriously doubt it's just you that's alive."
So then chances that Gaia was still intact are now slim. That was not something that he wanted to hear. But that was reality, His world might be gone, but his body, his life is now in this new world. Gran Pulse is he new home whether he wanted to or not. But the stranger part of this was that second bit. Her Reincarnation came back to life? That didn't make much sense. "So you have two of yourself running around Gran Pulse?"
"I am trying to figuure out more as I go. I know who to go to. They said to talk to Hope Estheim. That's what I plan to do."
"Where is this Hope Estheim at?" It would be best for him to go and meet up with this hope. Then at some point just get all the info from him and then.... well he doesn't know. Maybe just travel the world. If he was alive then did that meant that Zack was alive.... "I could get everything I need to know from him."
As Angeal took to the skies he kept a god grip on Yuna. As much as these things that are attacked to his back scare him and makes him hate himself for what he is, to hear Yuna laugh after making her sad was worth it. At the very least he didn't have that on his conscious. Continued to fly as he listened to Yuna talk.
"I am glad you are feeling better. That makes me happy. Helping others. But magic isn't only my specialty. I specialize in fire arms as well. Among a few other things."
"That's good," Angeal as he flew higher up the tower. "It is good to to have several set of skills. That way you can have more control of unexpected situations. " Angeal saw that there was no way out to the top. He then flew to the ledge of the top floor. He gently set the two of them down on the floor as his wing retracted. "So there's no clear opening to get to the top." Angeal muttered as he looked at the roof of the tower. "I wouldn't be able to fit in there with my wing." He looked at the corridor that they were on. "Well at least I got us to the top floor. We should be looking for a way to the top."
Angeal then started to walk toward the first opening he saw. Without turning around he began to speak. "Listen Yuna... I don't know how strong I am when it comes to well... this." He pointed at his wing. "But I am going to try to be strong alright?" |

TAGGED: Angeal WORDS 625--STATUS Finished Her scowl had slowly lightened. Her fingers slowly relaxed, letting her hands fall to her sides. "Your welcome, Angeal." She said with a more light hearted smile that came out a bit. She felt safer, and she even peeked up around the shoulder as he flew them up the many corridors. She couldn't help but softly smile at his question. "It's just the kind of person that I am. Just chalk it up to that I guess." She said with a soft sigh. "I'm not like most girls. I'm.. just different. But I'm okay with that." Her voice was soft and light.
She did think back to Lenne, just wondering what she was doing. It was definitely strange that she was back. "Something, like that. We don't look exactly alike, but we do look similar. She's got longer hair... I'm not going to lie. It's very strange that she is alive. I don't quite get it myself." She shook her head, letting a smile and her laughter fill the air. It was like a smell jingle of bells when she laughed. "I'm sorry if your world is gone too. But I am going throgh that also... I don't know what's going on. If all my people are dead. I guess its more bittter sweet when you returned peace to my land, and then it just got destroyed like it meant nothing..." She let her eyes fall, she rested her head against his shoulder. She wasn't really seeking comfort, she was just so tired of having to do all of this. When it was so easy sometimes to give up.
When he asked her about Hope, she glanced back. "He lives in the Academy I hear. I am heading there soon for some more answers." She watched the scenery flit by as he flew. She let her eyes close, and she just felt the sensation of flying again. "Well, I'm not a real slacker. I had to get stronger. I worked very hard. But the magic helped a lot as well." She said with a soft slack jawed expression, she was just relaxing. Her eyes snapped open as soon as they landed. She spun around, looking around. When he mentioned he'd need more strength. She shook her head. "Take this." She said, casting a buff on him to add strength on him until it drained from his body. Her fingertips hummed with power, rising up out of her weapons, and through her body. "There, I gave you some added strength. Sometimes, it comes in handy to have spells that you deem useless until your in a situation you need it. That's how I usually get stuck with things like that." She said with a small chuckle. "I'll try and keep up with you the best I can. I hope you didn't think you were going in there alone. I want to see what's inside too!" She said with her heterochramatic eyes sparkling their respective hues. She followed after him. It looked like the darkness would swallow them up whole.. She couldn't wait.

Just chalk it up to that I guess. I'm not like most girls. I'm.. just different. But I'm okay with that."
Angeal glanced down at Yuna as he was flying. It was rare to find a kindhearted person like Yuna these days. And while it was nice to see a person like that, it was also dangerous. She could be too trusting, she could be too naive. He really hoped that he was wrong but he would have to stick close to her to keep her safe. "I don't mind it really, I just find it strange to find such a kind person in this new world."
"I'm sorry if your world is gone too. But I am going through that also... I don't know what's going on. If all my people are dead. I guess its more bitter sweet when you returned peace to my land, and then it just got destroyed like it meant nothing..."
Angeal never thought about it before. But if it was true then what did he feel about Gaia no longer existing. But from the tone of her voice she was more attached to her world than he thought. It made feel bad for her, yet he really couldn't express that to her. He continued looking up as he flew. "Never say that Yuna." Angeal began, "I dont know what you went through but you shouldn't give up. You don't really know if your world is truly gone, until you see it with your own eyes then you shouldn't throw away the possibility of going back to your world. It has to be there right, we just need to figure out how to get you back."
There was a small pause before he cleared something up. "As for me, I really don't have a home to go back to anymore. My hometown was burned to the ground after the authorities decided to destroy it. No relatives, no friends, no home. I am a man who has lost everything. So probably I will lose my will last. Then I don't know what would happen after that."
Angeal heard Yuna explain about this person named hope and how he can be found at the Academy. He was listening as she explained how hard she worked to get stronger and the use of magic. As he took a few steps he felt some energy enter his body. His limbs felt stronger And the large sword on his back left lighter than normal. He felt stronger and that could be a problem.
"There, I gave you some added strength. Sometimes, it comes in handy to have spells that you deem useless until your in a situation you need it. That's how I usually get stuck with things like that."
'That's not what I meant.' Angeal thought and he glanced back at Yuna. She was a natural spellcaster, something that was foreign in his world. SHe could fight as good as he could most likely with her arsenal of spells. He just couldn't tell her that he might not have the strength of heart to keep moving on. To keep on living, since he really didn't have anyone to be alive for. "Thanks but.... try not to be close or I might hurt you if I hit you accidentally." To prove his point he punched the wall closest to him. The floor shook slightly and cracks could clearly be seen on the area he stuck and spreading out. "Thanks for the strength boost, I might be able to punch away stronger beasts now."
"I'll try and keep up with you the best I can. I hope you didn't think you were going in there alone. I want to see what's inside too!"
"Its not like I can stop you." Angeal slightly shook his head. "But please be careful, alright Yuna, unlike you I don't have any magic to heal you if you get hurt."
Angeal entered the dark corridor, his Mako eyes quickly got accustomed to the darkness that lay inside. These ruins were like nothing he has ever seen. He could feel the ridges with his hand, whatever this language was in it must have taken ages to actually get it right. He could see the architecture of the walls with ease. However now he needed to find a way to the top of this tower. So far he hasn't been able to find one. "Stay alert." that was his warning.
As the ventured deeper to the area the natural light from the outside started to get in, the open windows were high above them. And a couple of strange horsemen robots seemed to be guarding something. Something just sent warning signals to his brain. "Something's wrong here." |

TAGGED: Angeal WORDS --STATUS Finished "It's not that I am giving up." She said with a small shake of her head. "Not at all. I am also trying to brace myself for the worst." She let a small sigh escape her. "I suppose, I can keep the hope alive a little bit more." She glanced up at him with furrowed brows. "Then the only thing I can tell you, is grasp onto your life. You never know what may happen on a journey. Case in point. If I wasn't so adamant about answers, I doubt I would have happened upon you. I have met some.. nice people in this world, and from other worlds to be honest. I have no doubt that you will find some calling or purpose. Sometimes it comes from mysterious sources." She only knew too well the burden of having a purpose. Having a goal in life. And especially a dangerous one. A dangerous goal in life was a hazard. He had already died, of what she didn't know. She didn't know exactly if she wanted to know the answer either. It was just a personal choice, if he wanted to share, he would.
A slow smile curled on her lips. "I appreciate your worry. Thanks." A humor played in her eyes. She stopped her movement abruptly glaring in the direction of the opposing door at the other end. As they traveled closer towards it, it felt like the shadows were looming. The tower held a foreboding secret, or at least that's what it seemed to be. It really did look like no one had explored the top in a very long time. She heard his warning. She was still using magic. Curative magic at that. She weaved her spells, casting buffers around herself, and him. Shell, Protect, mainly. The magic would form and filter itself back into thin air. She should change forms now. Instead of her white mage outfit, she spun her staff in a clockwise direction and the magic seemed to take shape. Tunneling around her soundlessly, only light flickered on the darkened walls. It lit up the place intensely with brilliance. Her staff burst into tiny fits of light, and she held in her hands her pistols instead. The entrance was being blocked. "I'm pretty sure, those are not just going to be statues." She had seen such things before. She knew what it felt like to be watched behind lifeless eyes. But these eyes, were not lifeless. The shift of rubble made her teeth clench. "Well, we better do something. It sounds like were in for a fight." She didn't know if he had watched her change forms, or if he was too preoccupied by the sights of the statues. She had her weapon trained on them. If they really did start to attack, she would be ready. She didn't know how they would attack. She would stay on the defensive, until she saw up close if they were going to attack or not. Their faces, their horns, it just didn't look like a good idea to her. She wanted to start firing before they advanced. "Angeal.. Shall we?" She wanted to take point from him. He was the ex-soldier. Perhaps he would have a battle strategy.. Unless it was a free for all. She liked that idea. She waited for his approval. The statues were slowly starting to creak, a giant sword in their hands. She hissed between her teeth. She was poised and prepared.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 450px; border-radius: 20px; border: 5px solid #000318; background-image: url(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h424/Shade066/Random/abg103.png);] Angeal nodded as he heard Yuna said that she will hold on to the hope that she could find her way back to her world. For someone so young, hope was the last thing that she could have. He might be a hypocrite for thinking this way and not acting on it. He just wanted to make Yuna feel better, though he didn't expect to hear what came out of her mouth.
Sometimes it comes from mysterious sources."
Angeal didn't know how to respond to that, the problem was he shouldnt have a life to grasp at. How many times has he had that thought in his mind? Every time that he dwelled in the past he wondered if he was would suffocate from them. The guilt he felt on giving up on life was great, he failed many people back at Gaia. Having such a thing swallow him up and spit him out.
Angeal glanced back at Yuna as they moved into the depths of this coridor. He could see the humor in her eyes as he expressed his worry. She could see the magical energy around her staff, waving as he felt both barriers around him. They brought him back a sense of ease and worry at the same time. He looked at his Materia Bracer on his right arm, if he could make them work he would have been able to cast wall on Yuna or himself to make it less of a burden on her.
He was starting to get a bad feeling about this. As almost as if he let down his guard for even a second he would die or worse... he would not be able to protect Yuna. Angeal knew that Yuna was strong but if something happened to her then he would never forgive himself.
He was taken out of those morbid thoughts when a strong light lit the room. Angeal turned back and shielded his eyes from the light, it was hard on his eyes seeing that strong light when his eyes got used to the darkness that this tower had. Angeal saw that Yuna was no longer holding a staff but two custom pistols. He was about to ask how did she do that when she spoke up.
"I'm pretty sure, those are not just going to be statues."
"Yeah, I can feel them watching me, waiting for their time to strike. So this is how advanced the technology is eh?" Angeal wasted no time and pulled out his new sword, it was still didn't have a name to it. It felt so right to have this blade in his hands, he wasn't able to hold his old sword, the symbol of his family's honor, the Buster Sword, any longer. Angeal tighten his hands around the hilt.
"Well, we better do something. It sounds like were in for a fight."
"Yeah," Angeal nodded and took his stance right in front of Yuna. She had a ranged weapon so it would be best if she was support while Angeal did a frontal assault. However that would lead the other one... it was a tough choice but right now he didn't have much time to think about it. Sometimes the simplest of plans were the best ones. "Want to go all out?" Angeal voiced out his question. "Still make sure to stay at a distance at all costs. With your ranged weapon you have a better chance to aim at weakspots. I'll make sure to give you openings if the need should arise."
"Angeal.. Shall we?"
"Yes." At the wound of their words the machine-like statues came to life. and it turned from a old metalic color to a silver and light blue hue, both of them were starting to charge at time. Angeal took a step forwatd and took a deep breath, ready to stirke. He would move based on what Yuna does. "Get Ready to strike!" |
